   This will be an honest review based upon our recent experience. Having spent my birthday previously at PS Steak House, St. Paul Grill, etc I wanted something different for myself and family. We picked Parlour over the Nook because we wanted something a bit fancier and just fun burgers/bar food. The Parlour did not disappoint in that regard. The service was great. The drinks were very good. My daughters Avocado Toast was excellent (her words). The four of us had the burger, fries, and hashbrowns. Honestly I was disappointed in the burger. It almost seemed like it was first poached then "smash fried". While the cheese was white American so you expect it to be a little runny, it was sparse for the two patties. While the bacon was good it was dry and too think to compliment the burger. The overall flavor was just "Ok" even a bit salty as if to over compensate for what I am not quite sure. I've eaten burgers at various places in Stillwater (Meister/LoLo) and higher-end places like the St Paul hotel, even St. Dinette, Dublins Bar n Grill Chicago, and John Barlycorns back in day - all fantastic. My personal favorite is Dotty(s) Dumpling Dawry in Madison - it knows what it is and it has never ever disappointed me and my family. I am sorry but the Parlour burger experience was disappointing. Now I am quite confident this was probably a one off situation - which does occur from time to time. Net Net, an establishment has one opportunity to impress some one and unfortunately its name sake "burger" was not impressive. Happy to give it another try based upon the cocktails and service.

   I love to pregame at Parlour before Wild games! Food is great, service awesome! Shout out to Tim, Josh, Sam, Makayla, Jordan and the whole Parlour Team!

   We had dinner reservations before seeing a play at the Ordway (which was less than a 15 min walk away). We were able to park across the street in a lot for $20. We found out the lot was so expensive because there was a concert at the Xcel that night. The food at the Parlour was amazing, as was the service. The drink selection was robust as well. We will definitely be going back.

   For what was thought to be the go to burger in the Twin Cities, I'm not sure if Parlour is even a top five burger in the Metro anymore. Solid spot prior to a Wild game though.

   I have dined at Palour many times over the years before Wild games and always loved it until last night. They now serve an abbreviated pre-game menu. Which is essentially a choice between their wonderful burger, a chicken sandwich and a salad. But they were “out” of the chicken by 5:45pm? Their Brussels sprouts were way over saturated with spicy hoisin sauce; 90% inedible. And we didn’t receive our food order until 6:50pm, 10 minutes before game time. If you want to really test friendships, suggest eating at The Parlour Bar before an event at the Xcel Center; not!

    First things first, I will definitely return! I love a revamped older building that keeps the cool parts of its history and the mixed drinks, wedge salad and strogonoff in particular were delicious! We went because the website indicated a restaurant week menu that this location wasn't honoring because of a game at the nearby schedule making them too busy but the server was very understanding of our confusion and disappointment (it was a birthday outing for me) - and I did get a nice dessert :). Just would have been nice to have the game day exclusions more easy to see on the website (if it was there - I didn't notice it when making the reservation...).
