Our most recent visit was on Father’s Day. It was great to be able to get a reservation on such a busy day. However, we were disappointed to learn that the menu was limited due to the holiday. The manager came to our table after a different server let her know we inquired if at least a Caesar salad could be made rather than the house salad. She explained the reason behind the limited menu, but would have the kitchen make an exception for the salad. All together we appreciated the effort although our favorite dishes were not on the menu that day.

The waiter was great. The ambience was nice. But the short ribs (5 orders) this time was not the best and portion size was smaller. It appeared the restaurant was not ready for the holiday rush. $400 bill for OK food

We really used to enjoy frequenting Paul Martin’s. But since COVID our experience has been underwhelming at best. We decided to give it another try for Father’s Day and again we were left with something to be desired. We all ordered from the Sunday brunch menu. I had the seafood omelette and my wife and daughter had the chicken and waffles. The food came out extremely quick which leads me to believe that it’s prepared and when it did come it wasn’t hot at all. My omelette was lukewarm and the seasoned potatoes were flat out cold. My wife and daughter’s waffles were ice cold. So cold that butter wouldn’t melt. The manager stopped by to ask about our experience and when we explained to her about our meal she was EXTREMELY gracious. She actually comped our entire check and apologized for the poor dining experience. She definitely was the highlight of our experience. I usually not one to complain or right a negative review, however Paul Martin’s used to be our go to restaurant. I’ve hosted company management holiday dinners and going away parties circa 2016-18 and my experience was phenomenal. But everything changed after COVID. The portion sizes are smaller (but not the price) and the quality of the food isn’t as good. I’m sorry to say but I believe this will be our last visit to what once was a family favorite.

Food was just “ok” for it to be priced so high. Server carol was very nice but we did have to ask her if she could take our order and ask for our check vs it being offered. Drinks also were just “ok”. Overall we probably won’t be back just due to the value we got for the money we paid.
