   We have been going to Paul Martins since they opened. We are very disappointed in the changes that have taken place with the pricing. Adding up charges for many things is common in low end restaurants and they have started doing that at Paul Martins. It’s a big turn off for us and others. So disappointing.

   Sadly this is probably our 20th time going to Paul Martin’s and it continually disappoints and on Christmas Eve of all days. 1st whenever they do a holiday menu they reduce the regular menu and remove chicken…who made that bone head call? I had to call and add an extra person over a week ahead and we were moved to the Patio, which is fine. I was assured it was heated and even quieter than inside. Once we got to our table i couldn’t even get in my chair it was so tight in the corner of the entire patio, no heater was on and we waited for service. We ordered a raspberry lemon drop - which we have had a few times before. After 20 min I saw a young girl lost with a tray of bright pink martinis. I instantly knew they got it wrong, I flagged her down after she walked back and forth not knowing where those drinks went. She asked if we had the raspberry martinis, well no we didn’t order that. She took it back still confused. A manager then came to the table with an aggressive tone about the mistake and quickly told me we have a lemon drop or a raspberry martini, not a combination…so you can’t make one? Are we not at a full service restaurant in Scottsdale?? My father accepted the drinks, but I was disappointed as they were too sweet, and contained chunks of seeds. We ordered our food which had to be altered due to your lack of being able to make a chicken breast, grill a chicken breast and basically have anything for a dietary restriction, and I now realize I never received my salad, hmmm sure hope we didn’t get charged. The food was the best part of the night. I remember a time when service was top of the game, the staff was friendly and brought extra cherries kind of place. Now you get a rude manager, lost waitresses, and our poor server stuck in the middle. Do better Paul Martins we will choose to spend our money at many of your competitors that are doing it better!!

   It was Christmas Eve so the place was packed! Lots of small children so very loud & noises B U T that being said the food was good and the service was outstanding. The wait staff was working very hard.

   Our server was terrific, great atmosphere for dining on Christmas Eve…only unfortunate issue was the overdone Chicken Parmesan, it was dry, stringy and beyond crusty…yet the rest of the meal was delicious, as always.

    This is one of our favorite places to eat. The atmosphere is great and the service is always fantastic. Usually the food is superb as well, but we were a little disappointed this time. I had the red snapper and it was covered with way too much sauce. We had a side of cajun fries and there was so much seasoning on them we couldn't eat them. That said, regardless of too much suace, the snapper dish was still tasty. This one "off" night won't keep us from going back.
