Paya is an exuberant, island-inspired restaurant and bar located on Miami’s South Beach founded by Mohamed “Mo” Alkassar and Chef Niven Patel, the duo behind FEAL Hospitality. It is a platform for Chef Niven Patel to pay homage to the insular cuisines of the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and Spain’s islands, where he and Mo have either worked or visited extensively. Chef Niven’s dishes incorporate ingredients he grows at Rancho Patel, complemented by vibrant wines and tropical, farm to glass cocktails.

The restaurant features 56 dining room seats, 25 bar seats, and 8 raw bar seats, with a gorgeous display of fresh seafood. Expect to jam to some Manu Chao style music while basking in the vibrant island vibes and flavors. South Beach has been home to Mo since he moved to Miami in 2016, and Paya is his thank-you to the community that supported him through his journey.

We visited for our anniversary and had the tasting menu. Everything was perfect, and the flavors surprised and delighted. Great service, beautiful ambiance, and delicious food. We will absolutely be back!

Did the tasting experience with 10 courses. All the food was amazing, fresh, real, with so many different flavors, definitely a surprisingly positive experience. For such a delicious tasting experience, I wish the service would have presented better each plate, highlighting the effort from the chef to create these amazing dishes, but they were just brought to the table with very minimal presentation.

What a fantastic addition to the neighborhood. Beautiful decor, outstanding food and incredible service. From the hostesses who greeted us, Anne Marie at the bar who took care of us, and the manager who stopped by to check in on us, this is how a restaurant should be run. Fantastic happy hour also. We’ll be back!

Went last Friday to what's gonna become the hottest spot in Miami Beach. Moe and Patel are a definitely a love force behind their amazing dishes and unique hospitality. Forgive me for this, but the dish that stole my heart: the Truffle Grilled Cheese Sandwich...it's love on a plate!
