   We have enjoyed Penca for the last two years since it opened. This year we had our best experience enjoying an evening (Saturday November 17th) of the best Live Jazz in Los Cabos from Daline Jones and the Diego Ramirez Trio. We enjoyed both their sets along with amazing cocktails and dinner and brought two new guests who had never been to Penca before! Please continue the having this group and offering your great cuisine! Thank you!

   Las entradas muy ricas. La ensalada de betabel mala. Los tacos de camarón regulares igual que el sashimi..

   Beautiful place delicious food, my issue was parking in front of the place Parking in front is a big NO NO even if staff says is ok and they will let you know to move your vehicle The fine to park in front of the place is $240 pesos and will take you around two hours to get your fine paid so you can get the vehicles license plate.

   Great atmosphere and seating. Service was ok, cocktails had nice presentation but lacked alcohol, food was once again great presentation but lacked spice, flavor, and was cold. The steak ordered was advertised as a rib-eye however it wasn’t a rjb-eye bit a carne asada cheap cut of meat of which they charged $990 pesos. I would not return.

   We visited for the first time, had dinner and enjoyed the Saturday jazz trio performance. Service was prompt and attentive. The ceviche and garden salad appetizers were especially good. The roasted chicken was nicely flavored and cooked nicely. We also enjoyed the tacos. Cocktails were great. And finally we ate outside on the outdoor terrace, very comfortable and pleasant ambiance. I'd recommend going, especially on a Saturday night to hear the excellent musicians...their music was a nice change from the rock and roll cover music that's so common in much of San Jose.

   Service, food, and atmosphere worth all spot on . Started with the ceviche and bone marrow appetizers, that were unique and delicious . Our main courses were the fire grilled chicken And the Totoavo , a local fish , both cooked perfectly . Our waiter Alex was very knowledgeable and attentive.

   The food was very good but the prices of the wine, etc. were way too high especially compared to other restaurants in the immediate area. Most of the servers were not good at all, orders got mixed up due to the fact they could not understand what we were saying nor could we understand them. They seemed to only able to speak in Spanish, us in English. I got my breakfast, my husband did not even though we each ordered. Only a few of the servers could speak & understand English & also the owner Viry. She went out of her way to get us some gluten free bread which we very much appreciated. When we told her that the server at dinner didn't know how to pour wine & had no personality, she exclaimed that he is a very good server. We'll go back for the food only & only if we can be understood. This is the only restaurant in Plaza de Pescador that has servers speaking / understanding in 1 language only.

   We had a fantastic meal at Penca. Wife and I visiting from Canada. We got the Valentine’s Day special and the portions for the meal were quite small for the price. Otherwise food, ambience, and service were fantastic and we would eat here again.

    Muy buen ambiente, estuvimos para la noche de Jazz, muy recomendado. El servicio fue lento, pero creo que es porque no tienen suficientes meseros para cubrir el exterior e interior, no porque los chicos hagan un mal trabajo. La comida es rica, con la porción necesaria, ordenamos el betabel asado y fue una delicia, el vacío también es muy bueno.
