   It started with the Hawaiian shirts, then casually visiting tiki bars, then planning whole trips around them, at which point I feel like I can say I've become a full tikiphile. My wife and I have been to many throughout the Southeast including The Bahi Hut, Mai-Kai, Trader Vic's, Trader Sam's, and quite a few others. Permanent Vacation certainly deserves its place among these classics - the quality of the drinks, which pack quite a punch, the food, the ambiance and the attention to detail in décor and style all make it well worth a visit. Taking a page from Trader Sam's, ordering certain drinks results in various entertaining effects throughout the bar. Coming up on just its second year, this is certainly one to add to your list.

   I am a tiki enthusiast and have been to some of the best tiki bars in the country. This place ranks, well crafted drinks,perfect music, great environment, really great food, enthusiastic, attentive and knowledgeable service. They knew when to be around and when not to be in the way. My friends that went with me are not into tiki and found it to be fun and exciting.

   As always had a blast at Permanent Vacation celebrating my birthday! Great food and drinks! Great service and such a super, cool fun place! Our go-to for a fun time!

   This is a place for those that love tiki and you’re ready to lean into the mystery, danger, and adventure that tiki has to offer. If you want to play it safe there are plenty of normal and tropical bars in the area to enjoy, but I encourage you to be bold! Take the plunge: your courage will be rewarded!
