Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. This larger location channels a lavish French Brasserie, with its marble bar, banquette lined dining room, and a Chef’s counter overlooking the open kitchen. The second dining room can be reserved for larger parties and private events.

Since opening, Petit Trois has garnered praise from casual foodies and revered food critics. In 2015, Petit Trois was nominated for Best New Restaurant by the James Beard Foundation and in 2019 earned the Bib Gourmand designation upon the Michelin Guide’s return to Los Angeles. Additionally, Petit Trois was featured on the late Jonathan Gold’s 101 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles list from 2015-2017 and has remained on the list since 2019 when Bill Addison & Patricia Escárcega took over.

From the OpenTable editors: Whereas the original Petit Trois is just as its name implies – small – Ludo Lefebvre’s second, much larger iteration of the restaurant in Sherman Oaks is all high ceilings, gold accents, and comfy mint green banquettes. You can still order all of the hits, like steak frites and the famous Le Big Mec burger, but a word of advice: Book a seat at the compact chef’s counter to get a view of all the action in the kitchen.

This is painful to write because I love this restaurant so much. Management recently decided to go for a club vibe- changing from an upbeat, lively restaurant where the atmosphere was so lovely, to a loud, techno beats club vibe. Such a bummer.

Waited a very long time to get served even for our initial drinks order.. Standards like the butter lettuce salad ,mussels, steak tartare and fries always great Crudo sauce was too heavy, profiteroles got big, and ice cream and chocolate sauce no longer refined and tasty like before

Le Petit Trois in the Valley has become our weekly or sometimes twice weekly restaurant that just keeps getting better. The menu is evolving and every dish is very tasty and consistent. Felicitations Chef Ludo!

Stellar service! The staff was very friendly and professional. The quality and taste of the food are unmatched! Every dish that I have tried is outstanding! By far, this is the best restaurant in the valley.

I love this restaurant! I have been going for years and we obviously have a great experience every time! They have great cocktails, unique appetizers and salads. The sauces are on point. Just so good!

I'm not sure what happened, we had dined here in the past and always enjoyed our meals ... but unfortunately we will not be dining here again. In a 1/2 empty restaurant we waited 1 hour for our entrees , only to be delivered luke warm mussels - without any actual mussels in the shells , everything else we ordered tasted like it was left under a heat lamp or something. The French fries that accompanied our entrees - Were pale and smelled like the oil they were fried in had gone bad - Over all an unfortunate experience. Too bad we really use to enjoy this restaurant but it is certainly now off our list for now.

Petit Trois is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants and an easy go to for a quality date night. We did an early dinner on our way to a concert and despite the restaurant being fairly quiet, our meal felt rushed. Our entrees arrived while we were just starting our appetizer, crowding the two top. A cocktail arrived after the entrees despite being ordered earlier. Everything tasted delicious but almost half of my order of mussels was just empty shells (and the loose mussels were not found in the broth so must have been left in the cooking pot) and some were gritty. it just felt like things were off last night...
