   This is my 2nd time here and the food is delicious, it just takes a long time for the food to come out. If they could hustle a little more, this place would be 5 stars! We had chicken and waffles and catfish with creamy grits. Because I have an aversion to spicy foods, I asked for my creole sauce on the side, but they brought it smothered in the sauce. They took it back and it took over 25-30 minutes for it to come back out. I had to ask several people to check on it. Our server is usually really on it; he was friendly, attentive, but he got really busy. The manager offered me a free dessert for my inconvenience but I don’t eat dessert, so she took off 15%. I suppose it was better than nothing but it really took a long time on top of a long wait initially.

   The staff was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and the decor was perfect. If I lived closer, I'd be there once a week! The staff took their time to explain the menu to us and the food came out right on time. The drinks were great! I cannot say one bad thing about this restaurant other than I wished I had learned about it sooner.

   Our first visit to Phyllis Restaurant was AMAZING! We loved our food (shrimp & grits plus the sweet potato pancakes). There were so many great choices until we had trouble deciding what to eat. Our server, London, was very knowledgeable about the meals; his suggestions were “on target.” What more can I say except my husband & I will return again & again for the reasonable prices, peaceful ambience, competent staff, and delicious food.

   I assume the food was great as there wasn't a seat available. We reserved 2 days in advance but saw clearly when we got there that reservation wouldn't be honored. Some excuse was given with a grin and a 30 min wait time. I imagine the young man was the messenger not the cause of the mess. This restaurant should be 1st come 1st serve bc that's how they responded giving reserved tables away. Many popular restaurants have to adjust to fcfs. No big deal. We ended up at the old reliable "flying bisuit" super crowded on a Sunday and seated in 5 min. Remove the reservation option please. Best wishes to you.

   I made a reservation here. I drove for over an hour because I wanted to try this restaurant. After 40minutes, we did not receive menus or water and left. We asked for water 3 times in that 40 minutes. The owner needs to either show up or hire someone professional to run the front of the house.

    Food excellent. Device excellent. Environment ok. It was warm in there due to a door being prompted open. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable. I would return 1000 times. I have fish and grits with eggs. I also tried the chicken croquettes. Make you wanna slap yo momma!
