   First time going here and I went with my mom. We were greeted happily and seated where she could be comfortable. Our wait staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious and served in a good amount of time. I don’t really have a negative except that the noise level made conversation difficult.

   Our first time and we will be back! Reserved a spot on the patio as we were dining with our pup. Nice table in front of the fire and enough heaters to be warm on an AZ “winter” evening. Welcomed to our table by Chris who made recommendations and was attentive and thoughtful throughout our meal. My husband measures an Italian restaurant by the veal and enjoyed his saltimbocca. I had the chicken cacciatore and it was fantastic. Large portions - two meals! Extensive menu, excellent service, flexible with special dietary needs. Dog friendly. See you soon Chris!    Always a great meal in a great setting (on the patio) w/ excellent service! (Thank you, Omar!) Only thing we don’t like at Piazza Gavi is how noisy it is inside. But the patio is a wonderful option!

   It was a birthday dinner which I put on my reservation yet ended up seated by the kitchen where it was hot and loud. It used to be that for birthdays they always brought dessert and you don’t have to tell the server because it was on the reservation. This time I did have to tell him. But the food always makes up for it and our server was great and more than made up for the shortcomings.

   We've been coming to Gavi he opened his first rest as Grant out on Broadway. The food is amazing. The service at Piazza Gavi is horrible. Wd always wonder why it doesn't ever make the list of top 2 or 3 Italian restaurants and we suspect it's the lackluster service. Inattentive service, long waits for refills, never being asked if we want a second glass of wine, being asked if we want dessert so long after we have finished our meals and have been staring at our dirty plates that we just want to go home. We return for the incomparable spicy garlic shrimp and the wonderful food but wonder why.

    Food and service were great. Don’t plan on having an intimate conversation as it is LOUD. Portions are very generous shared and still had some to take home. Aeever Jesus was very good and accommodating.
