Dress warmly! The restaurant was surprisingly cold. Around 1/3 of the patrons were wearing their coats, some wearing hats and scarves. Hard to enjoy a delicious meal when you’re all bundled up. I asked the hostess (who was also wearing a scarf) if they could turn up the heat and she explained that there wasn’t much they could do. I don’t normally leave bad reviews so I’ll try and provide specific details about the rest of the dining experience. We had an early seating (5:45pm) so the restaurant was only half full, but surprisingly loud. The tables are pretty small, but our party of 4 had to really speak up to have a conversation. If the restaurant was full, I’m guessing it may require close to yelling. The food was just ok for the price. I ordered the cassoulet and it comes with a roasted duck leg on top, but the leg was so crispy and dry, parts of it tasted like jerky. My partner’s liver pate was very tasty, but the baguette they served it with was rock hard compared to the baguette we ordered for the table. They did exchange the baguette upon request. My son ordered the crab cakes and was disappointed in how small the two crab cakes were, but he reported they tasted good. My daughter had the roast duck (which she often orders at French restaurants) and she reported that it was just ok. Lastly the waiter accidentally dropped some bread in my son’s lap, which wasn’t a huge deal, but felt very representative of the whole dining experience. Not terrible, but we were celebrating a birthday and for the price of the meal, I was really hoping for more. We had a much better experience at Maximillien just around the corner and would highly recommend it over Place Pigalle.

Beautiful, cozy restaurant teeming with ambiance, truly old school great service, a superb wine and spirits/cocktail selection, and an exceptional menu. Husband and I had saffron clam chowder, duck breast, black cod and a chocolate pit so crème for dessert. A+ experience on our anniversary.

I really enjoy the food service and location. The view is spectacular. I always enjoy the endive salad and seafood stew. Great wine selections in every price range. Pay close attention to the White Burgundies.
