Plate Restaurant offers an elevated, vibrant, stylish dining experience. With modern Italian cuisine in an upscale, setting, Plate sets itself apart with handmade pasta, fresh handmade bread and a 100% scratch kitchen. Created by Restaurateur Christian Joseph in 2014, the first iteration of Plate was destroyed in a fire. Reopening in 2019 at a new location, its bigger and better than ever! With an emphasis on the guest experience and hospitality, any evening you spend at Plate is sure to be special. Christian was mentored by Restaurateur Valter Nassi from Monte San Savino, Italy. Christian's grandfather Constantino Lucido immigrated from Frosinone, Italy to New York in 1948. Christian is passionate about Italian culture, food, and wine. His passion shines through in providing a dining experience unlike any other in the area.

Our food was just so tasty. All of us were happy, but the by the glass wine list could be deeper. And the seasonal draft was not available.

Took over an hour for us to get our food! My husband ordered the special and it was literally chewy spaghetti with no flavor and one tiny piece of pork cheek as it described what it had in it. Atmosphere was great, pretty loud but cool looking place. Drink prices around same as everywhere else. The staff was super friendly and attentive and made up for my husbands meal.

We booked on OpenTable, put in comments we were celebrating a bday. We have been accustomed to places making things a little special or at the least checking in on us more often. Our waiter must’ve been new to the job, as he did not check on us hardly at all and when our food took longer than 15, 30, finally 45 mins later, he came to our table saying it should be out shortly. No one ever apologized for the long wait, until he brought our cc back for signature and tip did he then say sorry it was such a long wait. I’m a little surprised at a nice place like Plate that the manager on duty never checked on us. This was only my second experience, the first was exceptional, this time was very poor, it won’t stop me from going back as the food is amazing! Unfortunately, my expectations for a good waiter will not be very high.

The garlic bread appetizer is actually a long braided loaf of challah bread which is sweet. Seasoning is sprinkled on top but does not taste of garlic or truffle. I believe the description should be changed on the menu so that customers aren’t expecting slices of warm bread that is topped with real garlic.

Server was more concerned about closing down duties than serving our table. We couldn’t get water glasses filled and he forgot the drink orders twice.

Great food and great atmosphere! Lots to choose from on the menu. Cocktails were very good. They have live music on Thursday and it was pleasant. The restaurant is on the noisy side because of acoustics but the seating selection is cool and we could have a good table conversation.
