The Platea Experience provides guests with a one-of-a-kind take on the classic Prime Steakhouse but delivering them with flavors brought on by the Peruvian influence and quality Marmolejos & Salazar are known for. All our steaks come from the top 1% of the Prime cattles in the USA, some of the very best there is in the world when it comes to marbling, fattiness, and flavor. All our seafood is fresh and comes from independent purveyors, some of them flying in the selective menu items on a daily basis.

Our waiter was amazing. Recommended great options. Food was very good. We ordered the skirt steak, Risotto, NY Strip, lobster and pesto pasta as well as the ceviche. Next time I will order my steak medium well. I usually order my meats well done but this one was a little charred. For dessert we ate the vanilla cake with layers of ice cream.. overall experience and quality of food was great. A little pricey for the location but worth it

Plantea is a stylish and elegant little restaurant in Pinecrest, a place where you don’t usually find one. I was disappointed by the food. Almost every dish that we were served was ill conceived, overwrought and over seasoned. If you like ceviche, stay away from the dish labeled "Fried Ceviche". The charred Cesar salad is a mess. The grilled sea bass was better but the only dish we truly enjoyed was a side dish of broccolini. This place bills itself as a Peruvian steakhouse. Because I was dining with a person who does not eat meat, I refrained from ordering a steak, and in fairness, I must say that the steaks that I saw being presented and consumed around me looked quite good. If I return to Platea, it will be to sample a steak. But everything else I order will be the simplest items I can find.

We are repeat customers because we always have an enjoyable experience. It's a pleasure to have a "neighborhood" restaurant that offers such good quality food and consistent service. The homemade sangria and a charred Cesar salad is a great way to start a meal. After that, for my wife and me it's almost always splitting the whole, fried snapper, which is one of the best in Miami and one order always feeds the two of us with some leftovers, so from a value perspective, you can't beat it!

My sister and I wanted to go to an upscale Peruvian restaurant and Platea didn’t disappoint. From the oyster appetizer to the whole fried snapper everything we had was excellent. They make a wonderful Pisco Sour ( my sister said it was the best she’s had since our trip to Peru in 2017) The wines by the glass are high caliber and our server was wonderful. I am definitely looking forward to going to Platea again.
