    The food in CDMX is so good it’s hard to find a restaurant that stands out. Polpo is a special place. The food is original and exciting perfectly cooked risotto with a touch of smoky flavours, octopus in a diving black sesame sauce, perfect croquettes, succulent pork belly skewers. I loved the little arcade it is in and the friendly attentive service. Polpo is a treat.

    Came here for wine and charcuterie on our anniversary. The little market plaza it’s in is lovely, but the experience was sub par. We order a bottle of wine and several charcuterie items and the presentation was bland. Just a bunch of meats on a white plate and white cheese on a white plates with 2 butt pieces of a bread. Hardly romantic or exciting

    Although the menu is small, everything was made with precision and great detail. It was fun to sit at the counter and see both the cocktails and food prepared with gusto. The only disappointment was the truffle on the cacio e Pepe; lack of flavor that a truffle oil or truffle salt could have achieved better. But we loved everything else. Interesting Mexican wines along with Italian.

    Comida muy sabrosa y original. Muy buen servicio, el lugar está animado. Las croquetas y el risotto rojo lo mejor, el Cheese Cake muy recomendable.

    Spent my first solo night in CDMX at Polpo. The service was great and the food was delicious and meticulously plated. Definitely give this spot a try!
