Great service even though it was a Saturday night and the pub was very busy. We were shown to a lovely table with very comfy armchair style seats and our drinks order was taken then they came back for our foid order. Really like the table service here, no fighting for s place at the bar. We both had thd slow cooked lamb in a minted gravy with buttered mashed potatoes and fresh veg. All delicious & can recommend thus dish. The meat just fell off the bone.

The pub was busy and the staff friendly but not as slick as previous visits. Lots of mistakes and our mains almost hurled at the table. Soup of the day was not what was told on requrst but wasn'tdiscovered until I'd started it . Unfortunately I cannot tolerate tomatoes. The soup was wisked away and removed from the bill with our other starter as a goodwill gesture. I was offered another starter but the staff never came to take the order by which time my husband had finished his and the mains were on their way. By this time we had been at the table an hour and I'd still not eaten anything. The staff did try to help but I was still dealing with the error which had made me feel ill

It's a while since we have been here and it has changed so much for the better. Immaculately clean & has been refurbished. Lovely lady welcomed us at thd door and showed us to our table taking our drinks order. She then came back for our food order. We both chose pizzas and share sides of salad, which was fresh & crisp, coleslaw and fries. All cooked to perfection & delicious.

The food and choice was very good and well priced. The staff were exceptional being both very professional and friendly. We stayed overnight and the rooms are immaculate as are the bar/restaurant and communal areas. We would highly recommend to others.

Stunning food, quality ingredients. The steak and ale pie just melted in the mouth and the fish and chips were MASSIVE. Very friendly and attentive staff members who were extremely welcoming. Would definitely return as we really enjoyed the whole experience.
