My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Prime – A Shula’s Steakhouse for a much-needed date night, and I have to say, from start to finish, the experience was nothing short of incredible. Upon arrival, there was a slight delay in being seated past our reservation time, which initially had us a bit concerned. However, any frustration was quickly alleviated when we were offered complimentary champagne at check-in. That small but thoughtful gesture completely shifted the mood and gave us the perfect opportunity to unwind, sip, and enjoy each other’s company while we waited. It was a classy and appreciated touch that really set the tone for the evening. Once we were seated, we were greeted personally by name — a detail that did not go unnoticed. It’s rare these days to find a restaurant that pays that kind of attention to hospitality, and it immediately made us feel welcomed and valued as guests. Our server was equally impressive — warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine list. They took the time to walk us through a few recommendations and ultimately helped us select a bottle of wine that complemented our meal beautifully. The wine was fantastic and enhanced our experience without being overwhelming or overly expensive. To start, we shared a trio of seafood appetizers: the Oysters, Crab Cake, and Shrimp Cocktail. Each dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and seasoned just right. The portion sizes were generous without being too heavy — perfect for sharing and whetting the appetite for what was to come. For our main courses, I went with the Surf & Turf, while my wife ordered the Scallops. The steak, which I ordered medium rare, was executed flawlessly. It’s honestly rare to find a place that gets the cook on a steak exactly right, and this one was absolutely spot-on — warm red center, beautifully seared crust, and seasoned to perfection. The accompanying seafood was just as impressive and paired wonderfully with

Of all the wonderful restaurants in the Valley Prime has become our go to place for special occasions or just a memorable evening out. Tamara is an amazing Manager as are most of the staff from Camille at the bar and Marco serving. The ambiance is second to none with the gorgeous sunset view and the food is consistently excellent as the menu is refreshed from time to time.

What struck me most was comparing prices to steakhouses such as Capital Grille and Ruth's Chris. At Prime one gets less food, and quality, for a higher price. There is no steakhouse bread basket served. The Bombay Sapphire Martini was ice water weak. I could have downed it in two chugs. The Wedge had non-tangy blue cheese, with sparse bacon bits. The Caesar was good taste wise, but paled in size compared to established steakhouses. We had booked an hour and a half before a concert, and it was clear we were going to be running late due to the delay in getting our entrees. The New York Strip was served warm on a large white plate...no garnish or sizzling butter. A classic twice baked potatoe is put back in the oven after mixing in ingerdients to get a crusty top, and multiple flavor components detectable (cheese, sour cream, etc.). This twice baked looked and tasted like butter mash potatoes were stuffed into a potato skin. Running late, I asked to cash out half way through the entree, and ate quickly. The only saving graces was the Prosecco served in the elevator lobby, a nice view of the surrounding area, and, to her credit, our waitress was sincerly apologetic. Though again, an established steakhouse would have comped a drink or a part of the meal. If one thinks my review is off base, go one night to Capital or Ruth's, and one night to Prime. And then compare the prices, food quality, service, and hence overall value.

We had the best experience at Prime! We were on spring break with our 29-year-olds who they treated like royalty:) not only did we love all the food, staff, and ambience, but they also brought my children out ice cream sundaes to finish it all off!!! Also the glass of champagne upon arrival was a wonderful touch! Can’t wait to go back! 10/10

We had dinner on a Saturday evening at 7:00pm. The DJ and the extreme loud volume of the music made this a horrific dining experience. We sat at a two top and could not hear each other speak. We spoke to the waitress about the volume and she explained that this is standard on Friday and Saturday. After that we rarely saw her. She failed to tell us of any specials but was kind enough to bring my wife a birthday treat. We should have left when we first sat down and definitely wished we would have. The food was wonderful but the overall experience was terrible.
