A MELBOURNE INSTITUTION
Established in 1995, Punch Lane is a Melbourne dining icon and a pioneer amongst its laneway counterparts.
Punch Lane is a cosy and inclusive Wine Bar and restaurant, which prides itself on serving delicious food from a seasonal menu, mouth-watering cheeses from an eclectic selection, matched with exceptional wine and service.
Our kitchen team, headed up by Nuno Gabriel, have created a seasonal menu showcasing local produce. We are currently offering a 2 hour dinner sitting for all early reservations prior to 7pm in our dining space with drinks and bar snacks available from 3pm - 5pm Tuesday to Sunday. Dinner service commences at 5pm Tuesday - Sunday. Lunch from 12pm - 3pm, Tuesday - Friday.
Please note Sunday surcharge of 10% and Public holiday surcharge of 15%

It's time to spoil yourselves this Christmas Day with lunch at Punch Lane. We are offering 2 sittings for a 2 hour period - 12pm & 2.30pm to our Christmas Lunch Chef's tasting menu. The bar will will call last drinks at 4.30pm to allow our staff to escape home to their own Christmas celebrations. Had the Chef's Table as was a larger group. They suited it to everyone's dietary requirements. Food was absolutely delicious. Made our occasion very special.

Amazing food! Try the scallops or cauliflower salad. Such a big and interesting wine list as well and great service - friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Good food - we did the feed us menu. Excellent martinis to start & a decent whisky selection to finish with. Nice relaxed vibe, will be back soon.

Very disappointing, nowhere near our experience on many visits over the last 20 or so years. Limited menu, entree and main poorly cooked and a Victorian red wine by the glass $35!!!!

Thank you for your support over 20 or so years that is very special and appreciated. Re your comments I thought it important to reply with some detail. - We have 6 reds on offer by the glass $17 through $20 as well as 2 x premium pours with the one you are referring to is a 2013 Bannockburn Shiraz - Our menu has 17 options in the snack, medium, slicer sections ,5 x mains, 3 x sides 4 x dessert and a cheese selection -I'm fortunate enough to have had the same kitchen members for the past 6 years + , it would be good to know what you ate and what you found poorly cooked as the crew take great pride in their work and delivering a great product .
