Rapscallion & Co. is a mischievous and vibrant part
of Hamilton’s restaurant scene, dedicated to offering the city’s culinary
connoisseurs a full nose-to-tail experience. We offer a regularly changing,
meaty and creative menu in a laid-back setting. Our skilled and
passionate chefs do it all, whether it’s curing, salting, boning, stuffing,
wrapping, charring, braising, or just leaving the meat raw.
Above all, we love to prepare food that pushes boundaries and pulls you outside of your comfort zone — just a little bit. We get tremendous joy out of food and offer items that you are unlikely to find another local restaurants. While we love meat more than some people love their firstborn, we are always happy to accommodate those who don’t. Vegetarians and vegans are always welcome, options available by request.

    While our overall dining experience was pleasant, the food itself was somewhat underwhelming. However, we would absolutely return for the calamari and the espresso martini—just be sure to request freshly brewed espresso, as the standard preparation uses instant. The calamari was beautifully seasoned with just the right amount of heat, complemented by delicious pickled peppers and sauces. Given such a strong start, we had high expectations for the courses that followed, but they fell a bit short. The filet was cooked to perfection but lacked depth of flavor, and the addition of potato chips on the sliced steak felt unnecessary. My partner’s shrimp and lobster campanelle pasta was enjoyable but did not leave a lasting impression. That said, the service was truly exceptional. Morgan, our server, was outstanding, and the seamless teamwork among the staff elevated the experience. While the food had its highs and lows, the impeccable service and standout appetizers ensure we will return.

    Probably my new favourite restaurant. Everything was incredible. All the appetizers we shared, the mains, dessert, cocktails and wine. Prices are super reasonable for the quality of food and service was impeccable. I highly recommend. Don’t think twice, just book it!

    Only thing I’d say is the non alcoholic cocktails were lacking, some more originality/non soda based cocktails would be appreciated for people who are not drinking alcohol

    Our first time and what a lovely, enjoyable lunch. The calamari appetizer is delicious! My husband loved the Wagu burger and my fusilli pasta limone was light and delicious. Good wine selection. My husband loved the pot de chocolate. We are definitely coming back to try dinner. This restaurant is a newly found gem.

    This is my second review for Rapscallion, and once again, it was an absolute delight. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The service was top-notch, even with how busy it was. Despite the crowd, our reservation was honored right on time, and we were seated immediately. The staff remained attentive and friendly throughout our meal, making the experience even better. Rapscallion continues to impress, and we’ll be back many, many times
