   We had an amazing evening celebrating our 18th anniversary. Im on the carnivore diet and my girlfriend is keto and they accommodated our dietary requirements. I had the 22oz bone-in Ribeye without any sides and my girlfriend had the prime rib with veggies and they swapped the potatoes witb butternut spaghetti squash. Both entree's were fantastic. Highly recommend and will return.

   Rare is one of the best restaurants we have visited in the Kawarthas. Food, staff and service second to none.

   The food presentation and taste was outstanding. For appetizers we had grilled octopus and grilled calamari. My go to main is the salmon with ancient grains and beats with a lovely light cream sauce. We were a party of 4 and everyone was satisfied and overall had a lovely evening.

   Our server was fantastic. She was attentive and friendly. Made us feel welcome and was dishing out compliments like they were going out of style. The food was great. Lots of complex flavours and complimentary textures! Although the portions were not huge we sampled a few dishes and left full and satisfied. We went through the week during a night with their standard menu, it was diverse and offered something for everyone. We will definitely be going back… if not just to have the Gnocchi again, then to try the Saturday roast beef dinner! Would recommend to anyone trying to have a memorable food experience out in Peterborough.

   Wow! What a wonderful dinner. We had a Caesar salad, the prime rib special and duck confit and crème brûlée for dessert. All courses were excellent. Can’t wait to return

   Delicious food and wine and wonderful service. Great burger, risotto, gnocchi and calamari. Samantha was outstanding, kind, caring and efficient. We are going through a bit of a tough time and she made our dining experience a pleasure. She will make a great nurse. And we will return soon as I wanted to try almost everything on the menu

   My first visit to Rare was Dec. 26th and I fell in love this treasure. My husband and I enjoy eating out and finding this jewel was amazing. There is no comparison to the other high end dining places in Peterborough, Rare has it all - ambience, amazing food that excites the palette along with picture perfect presentation, service was spot on and very friendly. We dined at Rare again recently and we will be regulars now that we've experienced perfection. Our best regards to Mai and Chef Andrew!!

    A wonderful dining experience with a great menu. Staff is very attentive and the food is phenomenal. We enjoy the seasonal chnages, and special menus on certain nights is great! We've been there a few times and never had a bad experience.
