   We came at the end of the night right before the kitchen closed. They seated us quickly and the service was great. It wasn’t a lot of people in there so it was rather quiet. The food and drinks were great too!

   Great night at Rare. Incredible service and ambience, no need was overlooked. We had large group and service was amazing.

   Well this was our first time here. The restaurant is listed as #2 Steakhouse in DC but I don’t agree. Morton’s or Jerry’s is better. The front desk personnel however were extremely professional and kind. I appreciated their courtesy because I felt welcomed. The problem started with our waiter. He spent a lot of time constantly telling us about the prices like he felt we couldn’t afford it or something. I didn’t hear him tell any of the other tables what the prices were. It was insulting. Our food was pretty good except for the broccolini which was Extremely salty and had a burnt after taste. The salmon and pork chop was good even though I wanted a steak but the waiter described the cut I was thinking of ordering to not be the best so I left it alone. They also didn’t even have a lobster tail as an accompaniment. The parking garage was the worst. We had to go way down and there was no elevator to get up to the restaurant. So if you have a back injury it’s not the place to go because there is no Valet parking either as an option. I don’t think we will go back. Disappointing after driving 75 minutes to get there.

   Our food and service at Rare Steakhouse were both outstanding! The steaks and the seafood platter were delicious! Our servers were helpful and friendly. We will be back!

   My husband and I love Rare! Their dry aged tomahawk is perfect and our favorite steak we’ve had in the world.

   Only negative from our meal was the appetizers we got. Very small portion in comparison to other higher end steak houses in DC area. Definitely skip the apps. Everything else was great.

    We had a fantastic experience at Rare. From the moment we arrived to walking out the door. Our server, Ishmael, was a GEM! I haven’t experienced that level of charming service in ages. My husband had the Japanese Waygu and I swear I saw a tear in his after his first bite. He savored every last bit of it. Our buratta appetizer is good—I would have gone for another option but my husband is a little picky. I had the sea scallops dish and it was delicious and interesting—not the best I’ve ever had, but probably in the top 4 scallop dishes I have ever enjoyed. The birthday cheesecake was a nice touch served with a side of Ishmael’s delightful humor. Would absolutely return.
