Acclaimed New York chef and restaurateur Marcus Samuelsson brings his renowned Harlem restaurant to Shoreditch.

Red Rooster Shoreditch celebrates the roots of American cuisine, channeling Southern soul food alongside the diverse culinary traditions of New York and Marcus's Northern European upbringing. Staying true to its Harlem roots, the London Red Rooster outpost features many of the same dishes as the original - fried yard bird, devilled eggs, cornbread with honey butter - along with some new ones, created especially for London.

Love the brunch for the show but the food was just okay. Lovely cocktails and would return for the show and hold back from the food.

Great place with a cool vibe and good food. A bit noisy if it happens to be a live band performing.

It was a great place to celebrate family occasion. service excellent , food good, ambiance warm, friendly and relaxed. Having eaten in Red Rooster Harlem we were not disappointed. Maybe more mobile singers as in Harlem rather than static?

Me an my daughter’s first trio to London. Staying at the Curtain for a few days. Since we are from Sweden it was an absolute must to book one night at the Red Rooster, an overall ok experience with one exception and that was unforrunately the food, which had a lot left to live up to. Best Regards Karin

Our food was delicious, and the Sunday Gospel Choir were amazing and really were the highlight. Our only issue was quite mediocre service - we had to keep flagging down staff to order, as our own waiter was clearly too busy with other tables to be attentive. Drinks took a long time to arrive, the waiter couldn't remember who had ordered what. Generally he seemed flustered, and didn't particularly make the afternoon enjoyable for our group. I'm sure he's very overworked and busy, so perhaps the restaurant was understaffed that day. Nothing went wrong or was particularly awful, but ultimately, for a restaurant of this price point (our lunch was not cheap, we spent about £60 a head) you expect the overall service and atmosphere to be better.

While I am glad I tried it, the experience was underwhelming. I was hoping for proper gospel, not a DJ with a choir singing 90s house classics. They have great energy but I also didn't realise we'd be stuck in the corner unable to see them. Food was alright but it's a sanitized version of south American soul food
