Bringing some LA vibes to the northeast. REGARDS draws inspiration from the diverse food culture of Los Angeles. We highlight flavor profiles from Japan and Mexico with the freshest of Maine produce and products.

The menu at REGARDS has bright, zippy ceviches and crudos, rich tamales, plump Argentinian shrimp tacos, along with mezcal cured hamachi collars, crab rice and grilled cabbage with caesar.

Clarified lime margaritas with eucalyptus or our gin and sotol martinis with hibiscus pair with our adventurous menu. We pour natural wine and have a large selection of curated mezcals and tequilas.

A place for us and for you. Might not make sense, but it sure is delicious. Across the street from Reny's. Nearby Maine College of Art, Portland Stage Company, State Theatre, Empire Comedy Club and Blue Jazz Club.

    Fantastic menu front to back - incredible assortment of highly seasonal ingredients that were largely locally foraged. Michael was personable, well versed on the menu and offered great insight to the philosophy of the restaurant. Definitely a new neighborhood regular spot. Thanks Regards team.

    My wife and I mad this reservation and noted it was our 39th wedding anniversary. We arrive a bit early and were initially seated somewhat near the door in a fair location. after a brief wait we were offered and apology and an glass of Champagne with a offer to move to a better table in a much more intimate location. Wow. Throughout the evening we were made to feel special, offered congratulations from even those not serving out table. We were left with the impression that the entire staff was in-tune with the customers dining experience and was working as a fine tuned team to this end. The food was excellent although some translation and explanation was required. Everything we ordered was fantastic. I upon reading reviews decided to expand my tastes and ordered the Hamachi Collar, this I found to be equal if not better than Maine Lobster in my opinion. If you want to try something new and expand your dining tastes, and be offered a quality dining experience visit here. Highly Recommended.

    Unbelievable food, very unique taste and dishes. Just wish they would’ve spaced out the food a little bit more so we could’ve really enjoyed every single bite and food description. Dessert and cocktails were incredible as well!

    Creative and well done food . Wasn’t a huge fan of the Tamale , but that was only personal preference . Mushroom dish was spot on. My wife usually doesn’t enjoy mushrooms but she ate half of it . Cabbage was what I was most looking forward to and it didn’t disappoint . that Caesar dressing is life changing . Avocado tostada was nice , I wanted some maldon on the avocado , but it was very texturally pleasing and the tortilla they are using is next level . service was a bit lackluster , couldn’t identify a FOH manager presence , so that could have been part of the issue . Overall would definitely return . Excellent hospitality would have made it a 6/5 .

    INCREDIBLE. Truly took us by surprise. The menu is intimidating but our waiter was incredible and walked us through it all. Every dish was absolutely phenomenal. 1000000/10

    Excellent food, great drinks and phenomenal service. Amount of food for the price wasn’t great but understandable due to the quality of the ingredients and the expertise in creating the dishes.
