   After a 45+ year career in the hospitality and food service distribution business enjoying the good fortune to dine in 30+ of top steakhouses throughout the US, I feel qualified to offer my perspective on our recent visit to Remington’s Prime. My wife and I had an EXCELLENT (I rarely use that term) experience from start to finish. We were seated promptly upon our arrival and greeted immediately. Our server was very attentive and offered suggestions when prompted all while allowing us to enjoy our meals. The star of the show was the exquisitely prepared food which was not only visually appealing but tasted amazing. This is a testament to Executive Chef Randal White and his unwavering passion for satisfying his guests with unsurpassed quality and care in providing an unforgettable dining experience. We are grateful to have such a wonderful venue in Ocala. If you haven’t tried it yet and want an exceptional experience with outstanding food, put Remington’s Prime on your “must do” list, you will not be disappointed.

   What a hidden gem! Our experience was wonderful. Our meal from the appetizers to the entrees to the desserts was outstanding. I have already made a reservation for our next visit. Cannot wait to go back!

   This a rather long story. The very first visit the service by Kevin was excellent with a friendly smile. The food was excellent also with me enjoying the Tomahawk and the wife having the filet mignon. Our two sides consisting of the gouda scallop potatoes and the tempura onions and mushrooms. You must try both, you will not be disappointed. Now, the second visit was not as enjoyable. The wife enjoyed the lamb chops along with our same two sides which were very good. Our server again was Kevin who did an excellent job. My Cowboy Rib Steak left a lot to be desired, it was tuff along with needing a steak knife to saw through. When we go out to dinner, i always what a meal that is better than I can make at home which this one was not. We went there this second time to both enjoy the Tomahawk but found out they will not be offering this again till fall. We both recommend the two sides but will wait till fall to enjoy the Tomahawk.

   Fantastic high end experience. Our server McKayla - was very attentive. Good was exceptional. Dined outside - which the traffic was loud. That is my only complaint.

   I ordered the bison burger and asked for it to be prepared per the chefs choice. Usually Bison needs to more rare. Burger came well done. It was not very good. Fries were just fries and the Brussels sprouts were good. Service was good. I suppose we would try again but not a fav at this time.

    Why did I go back, one big disappointment. Before I go on, let me say the service is great. The restaurant is ok. The food was not at all what you would expect for a 300 dollar meal for two. Steaks over cooked and dry. Lobster over cooked and so small. Spinach under cooked and fried green tomatoes where thick and greasy. The only reason we were there.....could not get a reservation at Mark's steak house. NOTE: They did make an attempt to replace one of the steaks. It was closer to med rare. But still not right...won't be back....
