Lovely dinner!!! Our server was attentive but not hovering. He allowed us to have a relaxed and pleasant meal and never felt rushed. The escargot was delicious! Sooo much garlic which I love! The lobster bisque had big chunks of lobster. The steak tartar was huge! And yummy! I had the mushroom strudel which was good. I adore mushrooms and it also came with some pan seared green beans (which were a bit salty) in a red pepper sauce. My daughter had the cacio e Pepe and it was very flavorful. The banana brûlée was excellent! A perfect way to end the meal! The ambiance was very conducive to conversations which is always nice!

Great restaurant nestled in Tlaquepaque. Server was polite and helpful. The food I had was wonderful and there are so many other things on the menu to try. Some things can be pricey. Would go back for sure!

The service is good and the food is outstanding. We ordered a multiple course option which was a mistake because the portions are huge. We brought home leftovers for another meal the next day. The onion soup and sea bass were memorable. Expensive but the food is outstanding.

My wife had a fixed price dinner. We shared an appetizer (pate) and I had French onion soup and a chicken dish. We shared the chocolate soufflé that was the dessert for her dinner. Felt stuffed after eating. Took half of our dinners home. Both entrees (chicken and sea bass) were excellent. The sides not so much. Green beans overcooked with an odd taste (maybe pepper) and sweet potatoes with too much sage. Pate was very good. Onion soup tasted great, but too much cheese made it overly heavy. Atmosphere was quiet and calming; after the sun set, it got very dark at our table. Expensive, but quality food and very nice experience with servers and restaurant.

For our 36th anniversary, we chose to return to Rene at Tlaquepaque for the second consecutive year. The decision was effortless, given the exceptional service and exquisite cuisine we experienced during our previous visit. We arrived a quarter of an hour early to check in for our reservation, and the Host welcomed us with genuine enthusiasm, delighted to celebrate our milestone with us. This time, we were seated on the opposite side of the establishment, enjoying a picturesque view of the grand courtyard fountain. Our table, a cozy booth reserved just for us, was elegantly adorned with rose petals, soft candlelight, meticulously folded napkins, and a thoughtful card. The card warmly welcomed us to Rene, expressing gratitude for sharing our special day with them. Our server, Jessica, was nothing short of extraordinary. She greeted us with heartfelt appreciation and was genuinely impressed that my wife and I were marking 36 wonderful years together. Jessica expertly guided us through the drink recommendations. My wife savored the GL Isabella Chardonnay, which she adored, while I indulged in a divine Cactus Mule mocktail. Our evening commenced with an exquisite selection of appetizers and a sumptuous soup. We indulged in Garlic Shrimp, Escargot, and Lobster Bisque. The Spanish Garlic Shrimp (Gambas Al Ajillo) was a masterpiece, perfectly sautéed with delicate shavings of garlic, dried Arbol chili, bay leaf, sherry, butter, parsley, and roasted red bell pepper. The escargot, elegantly baked in a flaky pastry with roasted garlic and sherry-infused mushrooms, was a delightful treat. The Lobster Bisque (Armagnac-cognac), enriched with crème fraiche, succulent lobster, tarragon, vanilla bean, and pistachio nuts, was a symphony of flavors. Each spoonful revealed subtle hints of vanilla, a luxurious silkiness of lobster, and the delightful crunch of pistachios. For our main courses, we savored the Roast Rack of Lamb, adorned with a mustard crust and accompanied by a choice

Jessica was extremely professional and gave us excellent service. The rest of the team was also excellent. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted great. Outstanding items were the crab artichoke dish, the onion soup and the banana tarte. If only we lived near here. We would come back often.
