Valentines menu was fantastic, well presented food and tasted great. The light changing for service was a great feature and once changed was attended to straight away. Only thing I’d change would be the music it didn’t quite fit the aesthetic of the place

Awful service took over hour and half and when it arrived it was our mains and not starters. Then had some brilliant starters (finally) of chicken wings. Sadly, the mains had clearly just been on the heating plate and the medium rare steak was extremely over cooked. We received a free drink and 10% off but was not worth the £70 for the 2 of us on Valentines Day.

Was so looking forward to returning as had a great experience in the past downstairs ! Unfortunately we were sat upstairs - no atmosphere empty apart from one other couple when we arrived , no music , hardly any decor compared to downstairs it just felt like a different restaurant. Service was so slow , mains came out 2hours after we had arrived. Guests were given other people’s food. People were requesting to move and complaining all around us. It was Valentine’s Day guys … a special evening that was ruined by kitchen issues and a lack of experienced staff . Wont be coming back sadly.

We ordered the Hunters Boaed between 2 of us. Each meat was cooked beautifully apart from the pheasant, which was slightly dry. The amount of food and quality was excellent value for money. We loved the light in the middle of the table, which we would change colour if we required service. The only 2 problems were that it took over 40 minutes for our food to arrive and the food went cold very quickly.

I booked a table for myself and my boyfriend for his birthday. We booked for 4:15pm on a Wednesday so naturally the restaurant was quiet but that didn't take away from our experience. The staff were very friendly and the food was lovely! We shared a few of the small plates so it gave us chance to sample a few different things. Everything looked and tasted great and would say it was value for money. We also both loved the theme of the woodlands throughout the restaurant and menu. Would definitely go again 😊

I was really dissatisfied. We had searched for a good place to eat in Birmingham and this restaurant had come up. We had the Yorkshire wrap which actually resembled a pancake rather than a Yorkshire pudding. The food was really greasy, even the veg and the hassle back potatoes tasted of grease too. The staff were friendly but no one checked in on how we were doing or even if our meal was nice. The restaurant was fairy quiet but we still had to wait over half an hour from ordering for our food to arrive. I wouldn't reccomend this place at all.

Fantastic restaurant. Helpful servers, great addition to service using table lamp to get attention. Felt like an experience meal. The food was phenomenal, the quality of ingredients and choice were fantastic. Absolutely exceptional.

The main courses and sides were amazing. Between the four of us we ordered 3 deserts none of them were edible. The service was poor. We waited an hour for someone to take our plates and offer deserts and we had to call someone over. But the mains and sides were amazing. Just the deserts and service let the place down! The crème brûlée was lumpy and tastes off. The panna cotta was rock solid and dry and the amaretto cheesecake tasted of pure alcohol was far too strong.
