   Juan Carlos ensured we had an amazing experience. The food was incredible and I put on the reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and they put birthday balloons and sand that said HBD near the table by the edge of the restaurant. A very thoughtful staff that we are extremely appreciative of. Thank you for a great night!

   This restaurant was reputed to be among the best in Punta Cana. The location and physical space are attractive, but after that, it falls down on the job and miserably so. When we arrived, we were brusquely asked what type of water we wanted before our butts were even on the chairs. We asked for sparkling and received flat. This of course got corrected, but the individual seemed annoyed at having to fix it. We ordered a starter that included cilantro pesto sauce. When the starter arrived, no such sauce was present. We inquired with the server and he seemed dumbfounded. About 10 minutes passed, and a tablespoon or two of overly puréed, practically tasteless cilantro sauce was dropped off. About five minutes before our entrées were delivered, I ordered a glass of Chardonnay. Twenty minutes later, it still had not arrived. We opted to go directly to the bar since the server was nowhere to be found, and the bartender was not aware of the order. The bartender seemed rather nonchalant in addressing it. Moments later, the server arrived at the table with a bottle of white wine that was not Chardonnay. I of course mentioned it and did eventually get the Chardonnay. My entrée consisted of a tiny portion of overly cooked red snapper with what was supposed to be garlic sauce (it was only melted butter with parsley). Most of these things were clearly minor mishaps, but the frequency was clearly not commensurate with a restaurant that is purported to be of such high caliber. To add insult to injury, none of the errors were appropriately handled - staff seemed obviously annoyed, and there was not one apology at any point. Had the food quality been a different story maybe I would be more forgiving, but everything we ordered was marginal at best.

   Excelente restaurant, el servicio y la comida de primera calidad muy atentos todos, ademas solicite ayuda para una propuesta de matrimonio y me ayudaron con todo su buena disposición fue excelente, demasiado recomendado

   The service was absolutely phenomenal! Our waiter Swami was so attentive, kind and every staff member sang the most fun happy birthday song after our meal

   The best tuna tartar that I’ve had. The eggplant appetizer is a must. All of the food was top notch. I grew up in New Orleans and I’m not easily impressed with food. This was a dining experience

   El Restaurante perfecto, hermoso, la comida riquísima, el camarero se llevó el plato de la mesa antes de nosotras terminar el entrante y no teníamos salsa, y el pan hecho allá también se lo llevó. Leider haben wir mit der Gesellschaft vor Ort eine sehr schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht, sodass wir uns vor Ort nicht mehr wohl gefühlt haben. Wir als zwei farbige Frauen wurden direkt am Eingang von einem Gast vor Ort erschreckender weise sehr dumm angemacht. Wir haben aus Respekt bevor wir das Restaurant betreten haben extra draußen eine Zigarette geraucht, bis ein älterer weißer Herr zu uns kam sehr lautstark betonte, dass wir gehen sollen und Gestiken machte als wolle er uns anspucken. Es war sehr unangenehm, da das Restaurant Personal (überwiegend farbig) nichts dagegen unternommen hat. Mit dieser Gesellschaft möchten wir nichts zu tun haben, aus diesem Grund werden wir dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen. Man merkt hier deutlich die zwei Klassen Gesellschaft.

    Celebrated our anniversary dinner at La Yola and the staff attentiveness and attention to detail were excellent. Elys, our waiter, made sure every single item that arrived at our table was great - from champagne, appetizers, main entry, cake/dessert to the after-dinner drinks. Could not have picked a better place to celebrate.
