A timeless cocktail bar nestled off the hustle & bustle of Portobello Road, serving an eclectic range of spirits created on-site and served fresh off our 400L copper pot still, King Henry, by master distiller Jake Burger and his elite team of gin instructors. As proud purveyors of London spirit, The Resting Room not only serves unique gin blends, we also distill other spirits and fanciful flavours, including one of our favourites & the appropriately named Characterful Vodka, which contains… well, that would be telling, wouldn’t it.
Whilst a heady cocktail menu & relaxed surroundings are our metaphorical bread & butter, our actual bread and butter doesn’t let the side down. A menu of quintessential British dishes all created with local ingredients, with a selection of mouth-watering small plates and a charred and roast section, all cooked in our Josper oven.

By our very nature we work hard and play hard, so that’s why we’ve combined the two with our private dining room and integrated bar. Book your team in for a meeting or conference and afterwards, turn it into a spirited discussion (get it?) with your own private bartender to shake & stir you up some boozy delights or order a four-course feast from either of our kitchens. You can even add a gin masterclass to the session if you’re so inclined. Please visit our website for further information: https://the-distillery.london/the-boardroom/

Food was very much underwhelming and overpriced.
My husband ordered the burger and i had lamb skewers. Both were over cooked.

Disappointed to arrive and find that the menu wasn't as advertised along with some items on the limited menu not being available and food was being served downstairs only. The quality of food and value for money was disappointing the sharing cheese board with four small thinly sliced cheeses on seemed a little meagre and the frittata was luke warm. The other dishes had good flavour. The service was good, efficient, friendly and attentive.
