It was a very good meal. Waitress was ok. It was a bit warm inside the restaurant and prices were a bit steep. Nice place though.

Lovely dinner before a show at the Paramount! Great ambiance, friendly host and server, eclectic menu with lots of options for fish or meat lovers, and interesting cocktail/mocktails. We will be back!

To be fair, it was a busy dinner service before a big show at the nearby Paramount, but staff seemed disinterested for the most part. Slow to seat people waiting at host stations, slow to take orders. Food was great but menu is small and prices are $$$ as posted.

The service was quite slow, we waited maybe 10 minutes for the server to take our drink order, then a long time for it to get there. There were a couple of highlights on the food, one being some delicious clam/potato/bacon chowder. The caesar salad was good, but it was a whole-leaf preparation, not indicated on the menu. The filet was cooked properly, but about a third of them were outright burned, and the rest had no crisp on them at all. Overall, not a very memorable dining experience.

Dinner was fantastic. Our server asked if we had any time restrictions, as they were busy and we had a show to get to. She was very straightforward about what could be done in time and what to avoid. We ordered accordingly and everything was top notch. Perfect portion size and we were in and out in less than 40 minutes on a busy Saturday night. We will be back!

Service takes FOREVER, food is just ok and overpriced. Definitely not a fan of auto gratuity at 20% regardless of party size. Servers lack a sense of urgency because they are getting 20% regardless. I won’t be back.

If you are going to a show at the Paramount, make sure you are seated 3 hours prior, especially on a Saturday.

Our first visit to Rider; we needed a good pre-theater restaurant. Rider turned out to be good, but with the staffing issues that so many places suffer from at the moment. Very convenient for our hotel and the Paramount theater, it was very busy when we arrived but the host found our reservation and we were seated promptly. The pervasive aroma of smoke from the wood-fired grill was very appetizing. Our cocktails were delivered promptly; our shared appetizer of a half dozen oysters came in good time, was well presented by a knowledgeable server (Jon) and were very tasty. Unfortunately, the filet mignon steaks we ordered did not arrive for quite some time (50-55 minutes after we first arrived), and they and the vegetables (nicely crispy fingerling potatoes and a side of very tasty roasted carrots) had apparently been sitting out for a while as they were definitely not as hot as they should have been. Their late delivery also meant that we didn't have time to order the dessert we would otherwise have enjoyed before we had to leave. The wine list by the glass was basic but OK, nothing special; we each had the Indian Wells cabernet. Overall, a good kitchen and good food, certainly worth a visit but needs to pay attention to service times.

We had Valentines dinner prior a show and my wife’s lobster was severely undercooked. The server was unpleasant and it took nearly 30 minutes for her to even acknowledge us. The floor manager had to pour waters and take drink orders. When the bill came, there was an automatic 20% charge included. Will not recommend or return
