   Very simple menu but all our meals were very enjoyable. Service was fine. We were there about sunset but could not really see the view as the sun was setting over the water.

   We have the salmon and carrots. Both were good. Nice crispy skin on the salmon and perfectly cooked. Service was very fast.

   Worst meal we’ve had in Tassie, by far. Seafood tagliatelle was just awful - tasteless, prawns tasted like they came from Vietnam, zero seasoning, sauce was just like milk, needed a heap of salt just to make it edible. Should have sent it all back in hindsight. The meals at the train station in Queenstown were 200% better and a quarter of the price. Avoid!

   Risby Cove is nestled into a lovely section of Macquarie Harbour with a fantastic water view. The restaurant is cosy, the staff friendly and helpful. I was little disappointed in the taste of the oysters I ordered- natural and the chicken dish I asked for the sauce to be on the side (maybe should have said in a jug) because when it arrived the vegetable were swimming in it. Could have been a miscommunication between front of restaurant and kitchen staff - was a busy night . The rest of the meal was lovely.

    Fabulous location and friendly service. Limited menu. Steak was sent back - ordered rare and got medium well. Second steak was medium. Sides were skimpy. Worth a second try as it was the start of the summer season.
