   A Memorable 21st Anniversary at Gordon Ramsay’s River Restaurant We visited the River Restaurant at the Savoy to celebrate our 21st anniversary, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and professional – exactly what you'd hope for at such a special venue. The food, however, truly stole the show. I had the curry monkfish, which was beautifully balanced, rich in flavour, and absolutely blew me away. My wife chose the roast halibut, which was perfectly cooked and full of depth – she was equally impressed. The setting, the attention to detail, and the outstanding quality of the dishes made this a night to remember. We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate such an important milestone. Highly recommended – we’ll definitely be returning!

   We went for a pre-theatre dinner and the food was delicious! The service was great and attentive. Our table wasn’t great as it was near a walkway and staff regularly bumped my chair. There was plenty of open tables at that time that we should have been given instead.

   An amazing experience as always. Mother’s Day Sunday lunch and a beautiful ( complimentary)glass of Rose’. The roast beef was incredible, most certainly the best Sunday roast we have ever had! Thank you for the impeccable service !

   We booked for a special late lunch before a theatre show. The staff were exemplary as were the facilities (which you would expect from the Savoy) and view of the river was wonderful. However for the price the food was quite frankly at best average and at worse poor. Whilst we were given another fish dish to replace the very over cooked (rubbery!) Dover sole the replacement halibut for one of our diners was over done. As we had sent back the sole, we didn’t want to send something else back and ate it. The scallops were similarly over cooked and not the soft flesh you would expect. The desserts were however delicious and the birthday lemon tart slice given to us was a nice touch. Having dined at Michelin restaurants across London and the UK whilst we didn’t expect the same level of cuisine, we can honestly say we have had better cooked fish dishes at our local pub for half the price.
