On arrival we where informed with an eye roll that our table had been given away as we had booked it for 6pm not 7pm. Thank goodness I had proof it was booked for 7pm on the open table app. We where given a slight apology and told to wait whilst they tried to find another table. The restaurant was not busy, I'm not sure why it took them so long to find another table. Other people were complaining about the service, one couple got up and left after waiting so long for their food. We had to remind the waitress that we hadn't received our drinks after 30 minutes of ordering then. When our food came it was luke warm. A big fat service charge was added onto the bill also. We wouldn't recommend or return.

Booked a table for 7, didn't get seated until 7.30 even though the place was quiet. We ordered after about 5 minutes but our waitress didn't bring out our drinks for a further 15 minutes, and our food didn't come out for a further 20 minutes after that! I'd be understanding if the place was busy but it was less than half full. The restaurant manager was apologetic and applied a discount for our bill, but the staff could do with sharpening their skills. The breakfast the following morning was brilliant though, no complaints.

The overall experience was ok in every way. I had the Caesar salad and it was tasty enough. Would I book the restaurant if I wasn’t staying at the hotel? Probably not, but if you are staying and can’t be bothered to find somewhere else, it is a restaurant that will do.

We went for a main and a dessert, most reviews say service was slow but we never had any of these issues, service was very prompt. Mains was beautiful could not fault it. Dessert felt like it was pre-made but still nice all the same. Staff were great we did order drinks but they were never received by the time we were leaving. Overall would definitely come back.

Pre- theatre menu was quite tasty. Service slow and very quiet surroundings although music a little too loud to start with. Generally fine.

Nice food and attentive service… ambience was a little quiet but it had just opened… I had expected a river view too but was looking out over a paved courtyard with weeds.

Went for a pre theatre meal with my family. Booking was for 5:30 so we would have plenty of time before the show starting in the Waterfront Hall at 8pm. Despite the restaurant being half empty, everything took ages to come even after reminding waiting staff numerous times what we had asked for. Food when it came was lovely but the service was just so slow that we ended up late for our show as we waited for 30 mins for 2 bowls of ice cream for our boys and for the bill. Not impressed, especially when the manager just smiled and said they were busy. They clearly have no idea what busy really is like in a restaurant/bar! What should have been a relaxing family night out actually became very stressful for us and also upsetting to miss the start of our show. I have since read numerous reviews commenting on the poor/slow service so this was clearly not a one-off and management obviously are not interested in improving the experience for customers.

Booked a table for my partner and I. We arrived 15 minutes late, on arrival we were told the kitchen was closed by 1 of the staff members but then another staff member went to speak to the chef. My partner ordered fish and chips and I got the panfried salmon with risotto. Food came slightly warm and my partner Got a child size portion of the fish and chips. We could count the chips on the plate. We were not impressed with the size of the portions compared to the price we paid for the dinner. I dont normally write reviews but I just feel like if the chef didn't want to accommodate us he should have refused we wouldn't have minded as we could have gotten a takeaway delivered to the hotel. We are both food lovers and we were highly disappointed with the standard of service from the restaurant staff. We enjoyed our stay with the hotel and the breakfast was amazing in the morning.
