   Manager Denise (I believe is her name) was amazing for helping me set up the surprise birthday plate and drink for my friend. Waitress was wonderful, food and drinks delicious - thank you to the cook and bartender!

   My wife and I went to Rokka for our valentines dinner and it was amazing. From the ambiance to the amazing food. It’s a must visit for couples. We had a delicious steak and mash with some coconut shrimp that I literally ordered 3 times. We will be going back very soon.

   Dining on Valentine's Day this year was a gamble. We thought that after 10 years of not going out on Valentine's Day to have dinner that this year would be very different. My wife and I were wrong. Let me outline how our night went with the pros and cons: Pros: Hostess, server, and manager were nice. The restaurant was lively. The saxophone player was entertaining. The food was delicious. The drinks were strong which was a plus. Cons: We were not seated immediately even when our reservation time was 7PM. We waited for 25 minutes and watched other couples get seated first. I was there with my wife and 4-year old child. The manager and hostess wanted to find a suitable spot for us. We took the spot they gave us even though it was located in a narrow area of the restaurant. We had no choice. Wait for another "god-knows-what" or just take what we can get. I get that it was Valentine's but we should had gotten priority. The restaurant was very busy but it seemed to me that they overbooked and tried to make as much money as they could. It was like, why not take advantage of this Valentine's day night. Our food took 1 hour and 45 minutes to come out. We did not order appetizers because we figured this would speed up getting our food to us. While we waited, our server offered soups and breads for free. This was nice but it does not erase the fact that we waited close to 2 hours for our main course/entree. Overall, the restaurant employees tried to do their best. But I had never experienced this long of a wait for dinner. Will we come back to the restaurant? No. It was a difficult experience. We tried to smile throughout the night and not be rude. I guess we finally learned our lesson on not to go out for dinner ever again on Valentine's day.

   Service was subpar, understand it was Valentine’s Day so they are busy. Waiter was really not helpful with selections. My salad came five minutes before my dinner.! it took forever to get a drink and a basket of bread, normally with these prices, a basket of bread is thrown in for free it was paid for, and I’m OK with it, but not under these rates. Being born & raised in Whitter and I don’t like to spend my money at thses type dinner spots, claiming to offer good food, ambience, and drinks. It is a good reason why I head outside the city for these things. Unless I want fast food, Whittier is fine.

   Messed up in my fiancé’s burger and on Valentine’s Day busy or not the cook must of been inexperienced at his job and can’t handle a rush during an event. Food was good though and might come back and give them another chance.

   Great location and plenty of street parking. Great food options and flavorful! I ordered the pork chop with marshes potatoes and corn and it was very tender and delicious. It was a business meeting so the atmosphere for it was just perfect.
