   The host was quite rude for being 5 mins late to my reservation. Online it says there is a 15 min grace period and she had told me I had to wait since I was not there at the exact time and they basically “gave up” my table. Literally sat us down not even 1 min later. She was also rude to my friends telling them we were late as well.

   I had high hope for this restaurant. Unfortunately the service was really slow and backed up. It took us roughly 20min for our drinks to arrive to our table. Not until I went to the bar and tried to order a round, we were told our drinks were on the way. The apps ordered were the garlic bread but it came out burnt not toasted. They had to remake and remove the burnt bread. The frito mixto was over cooked and dry. The meat balls were delicious but a bit cold. Crab cakes were decent. We also ordered the 1000 layer lasagna with the short rib. This was a recommendation made by the staff. Unfortunately the lasagna itself was over cooked with no real flavor. The short rib sauce was just layered under the lasagna. The vodka rigatoni was probably the best dish we had. To top it off the pizza oven was offline the night we went. Overall I would not recommend the restaurant.

   Always great food and atmosphere at Rollati -- it is my go to lunch place when I go out with work friends.

   The food was great, but the ambience for celebrating a birthday was very bad, I put on the requests that it was a birthday and not even bother to bring a surprise cake or something like that, but the food good. Thanks.

   Half of our food orders came out cold - and I mean refrigerator cold. This included the "cast iron pan seared lasagna" which clearly is pre-prepared and put in the refrigerator. New orders came out 30 minutes later so half our table was done eating already. These were only moderately warm. Not sure what is happening here. Great food but prepared and served really poorly during our visit.

   Great place in downtown San Jose. It has a good wine list, and the food is delicious.

   This was our first time at this restaurant, which came with high recommendations from a couple of friends. The food was delicious, but we found the service to be quite slow and not very attentive. Also, the restaurant was very busy and it was noisy in the main dining room. I am not sure that I would return on a weekend evening but will definitely keep this place in mind for a lunch or midweek dinner.

    We had the 1000 layer lasagna with the short rib ragu and the pear ravioli. Both were excellent. The restaurant itself had a very cool modern vibe, I felt like I could have been in Milano! Service was outstanding, every staff person was attentive and aware-extremely polite. I don't drink alcohol so the mocktail menu was a nice to have. Bonus cannoli (delicious) for our anniversary was a nice touch. Definitely recommend!
