Food was exceptional as always, but the service was absolutely terrible and is a shame as it took away from how great the restaurant is. Our waitress was incredibly apathetic, and was barely around. She asked how we were paying when our food arrived, and said it was last call. It was late so that would’ve been understandable however people were still ordering when we left so seemed to have been a lie to get us out faster? All in all, food was great, but the attitude and actions of the service completely took away from the experience.

We had the pretzel, potstickers, shortribs, and burger. All were delicious. We also had the espresso martini tree which was fun. The only disappointment is the selection is whiskey.

We had a party of 2 with reservations at 5pm on a Sunday. We got in line on our side and waited 25 minutes or so for our reservation (granted we did show a few early). A few in the walk up line were seated prior to us. With the way the hostesses were acting I expected to walk upstairs and the place would be packed. When we got seated we were shocked at how many empty tables there were upstairs. We then waited for 10 minutes or longer before finally being greeted by a manager who took our drink/ food order. Our waitress brought us drinks and finally introduced herself. We barely saw our waitress and had to actually flag her down for water after we ate. The burger was good, I enjoyed it but the chicken nachos were lukewarm and not good - thankfully the waitress took that off without us even asking. I think she noticed how much we didn’t eat of it. The spiced pear cosmo and eggnog were amazing. Honestly that with the view of the place saved this review. But overall, for the cost/ wait of everything I don’t think we will go back. It’s crazy how long we waited for our table for it to be under 50% capacity up there. The picture I included was after they finally sat people at the bar. And the waiters all walked around with no hustle or care. It was just underwhelming for as much as they hype it up on social media.

The music was nice, the food was not. Go just for a drink and a view. Skip ordering the very marginal food

My friends and I were looking for a place that carried Christmas vibes to match ours, and this was perfect. It was beautiful and the drinks and food were delicious. The service was excellent and spirited. The whole experience was great!

This was our second year visiting The Henry during the holiday season, and while we love this spot, this experience fell a bit short compared to our first visit. Last year, we dined indoors near the bar, where the festive decorations added a lot of charm. This time, we opted for the rooftop, but the $6 per person fee to simply sit up there felt unnecessary—especially considering the already high menu prices. I don’t recall this fee from last year, so I’m wondering if it’s a new addition? The rooftop does have its appeal with great views of the Dallas skyline, and the Christmas tree on the patio adds a cute holiday touch. However, it’s quite crowded, so getting a good photo can be challenging. The patio itself features basic string lights, but nothing particularly memorable. We weren’t seated near the fireplace, which looked like it could have made for cozy photos. As for the food and drinks, they were okay but not remarkable. We tried the pineapple margarita, the spiked cider, the whiskey and donuts, and the holiday espresso martini. While the presentation of the espresso martini—with a snowflake garnish—was adorable, the drink itself was too bitter and lacked the balance of sweetness and creaminess I usually enjoy in an espresso martini. The pineapple margarita was good but overly sweet. For food, we ordered the nachos, baked brie, and pretzels with fondue. Sadly, these dishes didn’t stand out. The nachos were your standard Tex-Mex style, covered in queso without much creativity, and lacked any holiday flair. The brie could have used more jam to balance its richness—it felt like we were just eating melted brie with a dab of jelly. The pretzels were fresh, and the fondue was tasty, but nothing beyond expectations. Comparing this visit to last year, the indoor atmosphere felt much more festive and elevated the overall experience. Last time, we had burgers and classic cocktails,

Even with reservations there was a wait. Food came out cold. Drinks were just okay. Not worth the social media hype.

RE: St. Henry's Winter Wonderland (Rooftop) The decor, ambiance, and overall design of this place is fantastic and I'll never say otherwise. They've always outdone themselves. At the end of the day, you go for the 'gram and not for the service. The check-in process for RESERVATIONS could use some work, including the individuals working. I made a reservation over a week ago, confirmed the day the system texted me to confirm, and fully expected to be seated within a few minutes of arriving. Instead, after choosing the "reservations" side of the line, we were rudely greeted by a gal ... "I will be with you in JUST ONE moment." With her finger up and all. After finishing her conversation, she asked if we had a reservation ... OBVIOUSLY, I'M IN THIS LINE. Didn't say that, but thought it. We get checked in and join a line of two parties ahead of us. Not concerned about the "Walk-In" line, we wait. Two parties ahead of us get sat within 10 minutes. We're still waiting. They seat one of the walk-in parties. And then we wait. Again. For another 10 minutes. While they all had headsets/walkie-talkies on, they clearly weren't communicating. I was asked 4 times for my last name in the 20+ minutes of waiting, by 3 different people (yes, someone asked twice). The reservations line continued to grow, while the walk-in line was almost empty. Folks were literally just waiting to be sat, again, for a RESERVATION. All in all, it took over 20 minutes for us to get sat for our RESERVATION. It seems like they over-booked and didn't want to turn away any of the walk-ins, allowing them to become priority. To top it off, our server seemed overwhelmed and less-than-thrilled to be there on a Tuesday night. While we left a pretty generous tip (it's the holidays), she surely didn't earn it or go above and beyond to provide exceptional service. The experience could have been so much more than it was and I'm bummed it wasn't what I hoped it would be. Maybe we'll have better luck next year!
