   This was our 2nd visit, and we enjoyed our meal on both occasions. On this occasion, we used an OpenTable reward card with a valid $10 balance. We were told by the waiter that the card could not be used. Subsequently I contacted OpenTable and was advised that the card was valid and that the waiter wrongly tried to use the card to pay for the complete meal as he did not understand how to use the card. It caused some embarrassment for me to have the card declined. In the future if there is a problem with using the reward card I will explain to the staff that they need use the reward card in conjunction with my personal credit card AND NOT attempt to use the reward card for the whole bill for meal.

   I used to absolutely love this place, but they have a new chef and the food was just not even close to the quality of the old chef. Also, the prices have increased significantly. We were a party of 5, and thus forced to order from a tasting menu rather than a la carte which cost over $1,000 for a dinner for 5, where one person did not have a drink, and the the most anyone else had was 2. Absolutely not worth it and will likely not return again.

   This is not your typical Indian restaurant, although most dishes incorporate Indian ingredients. Loved the Dahi Puri, an interesting melange of savory & sweet flavors. Chili Garlic Crab had chunks of meat swimming deliciously in ghee with lots of garlic plus chili flakes, accompanied by petite lime scented dinner buns to soak up the rest of the sauce. Chicken Masala had 3 skinless/boneless thighs in a flavorful sauce. Saffron rice & Naan were fine. Cocktails yummy & strong. Desserts not overly sweet: 3 layer Cashew cake dessert had acflavor reminiscent of halvah. Sago & coconut panna cotta nice. Our desserts not quite as scrumptious as savory courses, next time I might order the Dari Puri to end the meal. Our entire dinner experience was top notch & I am looking forward to returning. My companion stated it was the best meal he had in a year ( & his family owns a restaurant lol ). I’ve had plenty of traditional Indian food including in the UK & India; the food at Rooh is decidedly different in a good way.

   Absolutely the best Indian food we’ve had in the United States. We live here. I’d recommend letting the waiter choose foods as we haven’t heard of several of the offerings that were excellent.

   We celebrated my fiancés birthday and our engagement here. It was amazing. The food was tasty, well portioned. The staff was attentive and switched to an alternative when one of our menu asks was out of stock. Overall, stellar.

   everything was excellent, but the portions are quite small … even a main dish/entree was the size of an appetizer.

   The chef has attempted an elevated take on Indian cuisine, but the flavor profile and quality of food turned out to be extremely disappointing. I’m always looking to exploring innovative twists to various cuisines, but every dish we ordered (except the dessert) was subpar compared to similar restaurants on the Michelin Guide. Apart from the ambience and the service, I don’t see why this restaurant is still on the Guide.

    The mushroom truffle kulcha was incredible. Unfortunately what they call naan is not really naan as it is not made in a tandoor. Tastes a bit more like pita bread. The entrées were not served warm the burrata, which is served cold on top of a tepid palaak base was off the mark to me in terms of temperature and lack of texture contrast.
