    My only complaint is the lack of parking. It is on street parking and at lunch on Friday very busy.

    First of all, Roots did not honour the reservation; we were told to sit wherever. This was an advertised event with live music starting at 5:00. We arrived at 4:50 and were not served for half an hour as there was only one server working. Things improved when two more servers commenced their shifts. The food was adequate, hot, and tasty, but not all requests were met, including my request at the time of booking for fresh, hot coffee. The one coffee ordered with the meal was not refilled, and the rest of us were not offered coffee at the end of the meal. My burger was missing the lettuce. Menu selection is good, except there are really no vegan options, especially for hot food which eliminates some of my family. Very few restaurants in Regina know the protocol of serving the senior female first, followed by the next -oldest female, and so on. This restaurant is no exception - my mother, aged 95, had her order taken after her youngest son’s. Having said all that, our server was friendly, polite and engaged. Re: the furnishings -the upholstered bench is uncomfortably low, and some of the tables are too large.

    The ambience was like having supper at my parents retirement living complex which was a surprise. Decided to stay for only an appie and drink which was subpar. Too bad was looking forward to it for some time.
