   Enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner - New Zealand jerk lamb chops entree and a side of fried yams with garlic butter. Loved chatting with Chef Tiffany Derry who took time out of her busy schedule to help make our birthday special. 😊

   Booked for my Mom’s Birthday dinner, and the service was as always outstanding. The cast iron cornbread and duck fat fried chicken was delicious, but the stand out dish was the spicy caesar, the fried chickpeas added a nice crunch. My compliments to the Chef as everything exceptional, we went home full, and happy.

   Seated next to the restrooms. Doors opening and closing with high traffic . Servers were inattentive and training. Unsanitary.

   Made a reservation on Sunday. On Monday I tried to add 2 more people to the reservation but they are closed on Mondays. Sent a text like their voicemail said to do. Couldn't leave a voicemail because the mailbox is full. From Sunday to Wednesday I reached out 6+ times and nobody returned the call. Show up to the restaurant to be greeted by the manager to inform me there's a cake cutting fee of $3/person. Mandatory 20% gratuity on parties of 6 or more. 3.5% credit card fee. Manager and waiter both apologized profusely and tried to makeup for all the missteps. Food was delicious. Waiter and manager could not have been more attentive to us. Drinks were delicious. Ultimately though, despite the good service by the waiter and good food, too many nickel and dime fees, no communication with the restaurant ahead of time, and a steep $20/person cancellation fee left me stuck after I made the reservation and couldn't communicate with them. So until their business practices change there are too many other options in Dallas to try.

   I’ve been coming to RST since 2022, and am grateful the food, service, and pricing has remained consistent. They change the menu out seasonally, so there’s always something new to enjoy. Last night I went there on a solo date and asked my waitress Maddie to slowly pace out my dinner and she did an amazing job. She was a great balance of being attentive, while not hovering or “over servicing” me. I started out with the spicy Caesar salad and their fried shrimp and grit balls (Really glad they brought them back on the menu), and both were delicious. For my entree I enjoyed the Redfish with rock shrimp fried rice, and greens. I wasn’t a huge fan of the rock shrimp in comparison to the crawfish fried rice that’s usually served with it, but I think it’s because I felt like the shrimp should have been cooked a tad bit longer. I paired it with their purple rain cocktail which is always amazing. Skipped out on dessert this time around, but all in all I had a great dining experience per usual. Spicy Caesar salad: 9/10 Fried shrimp & grits: 10/10 Redfish: 7.5/10 due to the shrimp fried rice Greens: 9/10 Purple rain: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance & cleanliness: a consistent 10/10

   I held a surprise birthday dinner for my sister at Roots Southern Table and it was great! The food was incredible and the service was even better. They seamlessly handled our table of 13. I will definitely be back!

   Fantastic food and amazing service! Every staff member was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. Loved the drink selection - especially a create your own cocktail. Some of the best food I have had in DFW. Will be going back!

    This was my third visit and it was as incredible as my first. The service as amazing as the food. Can’t wait to go back for a fourth !
