   Kelly did an excellent job serving our table. The Root Pie was delicious just needed a touch of salt. The pear and Brie salad was outstanding! They did not have 3 things we were wanting; decaf tea bags, soup and na 0% beer. It was a cold night and the restaurant was chilly so something warm was needed. My husband cannot have alcohol and most na beers still have .05% which was the case in what was offered. Overall we had a nice birthday dinner but hurried out to warm up at home! We will return for sure!

   Great food with excellent service, it was a Friday night with a small crowd in the restaurant. I had a strip steak that was cooked perfectly.

   The quality of the food was excellent for all five of our group. The waitress was very affable and professional. Even though the restaurant was very busy it was easy to converse without difficulty. Roots95 has become our favorite “go-to” place!

   It was a relatively quiet mid-week visit. Service was great, food and beverages are delicious. My only complaint is the skimpy portions for some entrees. My friend’s salad was enormous, but $33 for three scallops is a bit high. I recently had a very similar meal of scallops somewhere else and there were five on the plate for $34. Otherwise, our experience was good.

   We chose a 4m reservation, because weather was blowing in. That left us to chose from either the happy hour menu of small plates, or the main menu. We have eaten here before, so we knew what to expect. There is a well-curated menu of enough variety that we always have options. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable about ingredients, and always ready to make recommendations, if asked. The food is delightfully plated, not overwhelming, in size or seasoning. He had the Alfredo and I had the Scottish salmon with rice. There was enough left from my plate to take a taste home for the dogs, but his was gone. We did get a slice of cheesecake to split for dessert…soft, tender, and not too sweet. Perfect size. As we left, we marveled at how calm we were and how well fed. No pressure, great escape for food and relaxing conversation. But..make a reservation. You might feel silly about it, making a 4pm reservation, but last week we tried to walk in at 5, and ended up going elsewhere. And they have recently changed their hours to make lunches extend to happy hour.

   We had a fantastic dinner at Roots95 last night! I ordered the hanger steak, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, with a great balance of seasoning and tenderness. My fiancée tried the Thai pasta, and it was a delightful mix of bold, savory, and slightly spicy flavors that really impressed us both. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

    Nice flavors, reasonable prices for the quality. Excellent server who made helpful suggestions and was very proud of the restaurant. We will return soon.
