We have dined there several times including two christmas eves. We arrived promptly at 7 for our reservation. Service was extremely slow, not our servers fault. She was great. Drinks were slow and first courses okay. I must say the salads were delicious!. We all enjoyed them. Then it was almost an hour to get entrees. In fact we were ready to leave and just pay our bill, but the server encouraged us saying the kitchen was under manned and much of the regular staff was taken to the new restaurant. This was confirmed by the manager. Where doesn that leave us!??? The entrees finally arrived, but most of us had lost our appetite. The pasta dish was very average but others liked their dishes. the pork special was over cooked and although the sauce was very tasty, but meat was hard and dry. You comped us or first course and offered a glass of champagne. A nice touch. But it didn’t take away the frustration we experienced with our family dinner on Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve Dinner Although we requested a table in the dining room ( when I made the reservation and again during our confirmation phone call) , bur instead we were seated in the lobby of the B and B , next to a coat rack. There was a messy chocolate spot on one of our qchairs , which stained my daughter’s slacks. It was a busy and loud area —a make shift “ dining area which was unattractive and noisy due to the foot traffic headed to the restrooms . The server was good but we waited an hour and a half for our entrees. My husband and I each ordered the bronzino filet which was very small; only a half “ a filet ( 38.00 each) and overcooked. By the time we were served. The kitchen was “ closing” for the night . A hostess offered us a glass of champagne. Our evening was a big disappointment! A very expensive meal in an unattractive setting. Definitely will not be returning any time soon.

I made a reservation at this place for Christmas Eve for brunch. However, this did not turn out well. While I made a reservation for brunch the menu was only for lunch. As a result, this was a horrible way to start our “brunch.” Next, my family were the only people in the establishment but, somehow the food still took a long time to come to us. The service took a long time and the food wasn’t anything special. Overall, this experience was abysmal.

Food was great! A mixup or two but nothing fatal. BUT, really disappointing that the kitchen couldn’t honor a request for a poached egg for a member of our party at brunch.
