Located in the historic Fulton Market district of Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood, Rose Mary is Chef/Owner Joe Flamm’s debut restaurant inspired by his Italian heritage and the bold, bright flavors of Croatian cuisine. The boisterous space—named for Flamm’s grandmothers, Mary and Mary Rose, and the herb rosemary, which grows natively along the Italian and Croatian coastlines—offers a seasonal menu of rustic yet refined dishes that encapsulate what Flamm has coined “Adriatic drinking food”.

    Always great service, good and ambience. Went tonight with coworkers as we started an informal “supper club” and the staff was so patient as we navigated how many folks would be able to attend.

    The food was exceptional. The waiter did a good job explaining the shareable dishes and the amount we should order for the table. We had to wait for table but they brought free glasses of Prosecco and the wait was less than 15 minutes.

    The bar never disappoints. The bartenders are friendly and the cocktails are flavorfully layered. The gnocchi was richly delicious and the coffee dessert was perfectly sweet and salty.

    Great experience at Rose Mary! Highly recommend the zucchini fritters, gnocchi and the toffee cake! Also tired the cauliflower, tagliatelle, and beet salad - all were good, but would love to go back for other pastas and main courses. We ordered 5 dishes for two which was way too much, but nice to have a variety. I think 5 dishes would have been plenty for 4 people!
