Gulf Coast style chophouse from Chef/Owner Jesse DeLeon. Located blocks from downtown, perched on the hill at the intersection of Rosewood Avenue and 11th Street in East Austin. Operating in the historic Haynes-DeLashwah House, built in 1890. The atmosphere progresses from lively to intimate from the boisterous setting of Rosewood’s eight-seat bar with full menu service, to the convivial spirit of the 12-table main room, to an intimate 12-seat private room, to the up-close experience of the eight-seat Chef’s Counter–reserved for only one nightly seating, only serving a multi-course tasting menu. The spacious decks and grand lawn are outfitted with a variety of settings, perfect for cocktails or outdoor dining. By using indigenous ingredients to create unexpected interpretations of childhood favorites and heartfelt references to coastal dishes and regional food staples, we hope our guests will feel entirely comfortable and curious, exploring our menu.

Girls Night Out and it was amazing. Drinks and food did not diappoint. Received great recommendations from server to share plates and that is exactly what we did. Starters consisted of the Refish Ceviche and Pork Belly, both beautiful presentations and delicious. Entree course was Pork Chop and Redfish, we obviously had a theme we had the Spatzel and Button Mushrooms for sides. The portions were perfect for the 3 of us and we did not leave hungry, we could not decide on dessert and chose all 3 lemoncake banana pudding and chocolate concoction. All so good. Will definitely be back for a date night ne t.

Great classy place for a date or friends. Acoustics were much appreciated for conversation, with good music in the background. Either redfish appetizer will set the tone for the great meal to come! The wine options are excellent (I'm guessing the owner is wine expert). A unique Austin "must dine experience" if you want to impress out of town guests.

Food outstanding as always but seriously overpriced. A glass of craft IPA at $10 is too much, as is an order of five hush puppies for $14. Good food and ambience but very overpriced.

The food and service are always great. It never fails to satisfy. Super friendly staff that are well trained. The flavors are outstanding on all dishes.

This was our second time to dine at Rosewood. Laurel was our server again and gave excellent service both times. The food is outstanding. We highly recommend Rosewood.
