Relaxed but special, Oscars Brasserie is located within the beautiful Rossett Hall Hotel in Rossett, an attractive countryside village just outside of Wrexham. Wide ranging menus give Oscars all day appeal, the international a la carte choices including not only deliciously creative but unpretentious dishes from all over the world but hearty, cooked to perfection grills. Less formal options include the kitchen’s casual light bites and sandwiches, not to mention the family friendly Sunday roast which is well worth the journey from Wrexham or even Chester. Surroundings here at Oscars are casual but attractive, muted tones giving a contemporary feel to the traditional building. Al fresco dining may be enjoyed out on the patio, looking back towards the historic Hall with its ivy covered walls or out over manicured lawns and colourful planting, equally a beautiful spot for relaxing morning coffee or indulgent afternoon teas.

Met with friends for Sunday lunch. Staff friendly and helpful. Lots of socially distanced tables so felt safe. Also sanitiser everywhere. Food was well presented and cooked with good portions. Could improve by providing extra gravy in a jug. Service was very good and we enjoyed our lunch very much thank you.

We had booked a table for 2 at 4.00pm on a Wednesday afternoon and as such were the only people in the restaurant. Whilst the food was good, using the lunch menu of 2 courses for £8.95, the staff was hard to find. I had to go searching the corridors to find someone to let them know we were there, and then go searching again to ask for our bill! When she did come to the restaurant, the waitress was friendly and pleasant. Perhaps they could have a bell for customers to ring on the bar? Otherwise, we enjoyed our meal despite the lack of attention.

The atmosphere and decor was comfortable and relaxing. It was our first visit and the staff made us very welcome. We had the plated Sunday Lunch it was very nice but not exceptional may be because we usually visit a venue that serves carvery.

A big disappointment. Had eaten here before and had a lovely meal but Sunday Lunch was poor. I think there was a problem in the kitchen but no one explained or apologised. So, a huge wait for everything, starter prawns tasteless, roast potatoes dried up, veg undercooked

Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. Staff are lovely and go out of your way to make sure you’re comfortable and your dining experience is perfect. Me and my partner love going for a Sunday dinner and at such a brilliant price too. Amazing food and the quality is outstanding. Cant say enough about it!
