Chef Ali Mesghali"s nearly lifelong love of cooking combined with his love for Sufism brought to life for the first time in Atlanta's culinary scene the concept of Rumi's Kitchen in 2005.

    We tried to enjoy the overpriced entrees, covered with tones of basmati rice and one roasted tomato. For the price of $40.00 entrees for lunch and my partners $38.00, one should expect at least some veggies, but nothing. The Fattoush salad was a very small portion for $14.00!! We made reservations and made a note that was a birthday celebration, but what a disappointment, it was forgotten, and I never got the usual complimentary desert. On top of that, it was a problem with the registers (computer issues, and we got our lunch very late). The waitress was apologetic and very attentive. In my opinion, it's not worth the hype.

    Excellent experience eating at Rumi’s kitchen. Great food, large portions, great service! We loved that you could get complimentary sparkling water with your meal! We will definitely go again and again! Very satisfied customer!

    We have been going to Rumi’s Kitchen for many years. We were regulars at the original converted garage on Roswell Rd. Avalon has become our favorite location. The service is great and the food is consitently amazing

    Rumi’s at Avalon has progressively gotten worse over the years. I understand the demand is high on the weekends and service can get strained but it could be controlled better if they just limit capacity and push for strict reservation schedules. It would get customers seated quicker and give better insight on availability. This has been a problem for years as we’ve tried arriving up to 30 minutes early just to wait even longer. It’s a burn out and over crowding is reaching its peak. Once the food quality is effected, it’s over all together.
