   Malahki (probably spelled it wrong) was an excellent host. The young man was well spoken, pleasant and engaging. He ensured our every need was met and made sure our experience was 5 star. He paid attention to every detail. We shared several laughs throughout the evening as well. Lastly, our previous visit to Ruth's Chris was at old location in North Hills (this one is almost in the exact same location) and it felt drab and the lighting was pretty bad. The new location was much needed and IMO gives the restaurant new life.

   Having been a regular at Ruth Chris for many years, we decided to finally visit the newly remodeled North Hills location. We will never go back. After spending a significant amount on remodeling, they fell seriously short in training, service and quality of food. Three of the four fillets were thin, butterflied and improperly prepared. Lobster mac was watery, calamari was old… Servers were not attentive and had to be chased down all evening. Each course was served before used dishes were removed. Extremely disappointed!

   Something was a little off our mistakes were not the same season and mashed potatoes were cold and the broccoli was a little off.

   Server Jamee was great. Ambiance was nice. One of our meals was over cooked, but our service made it right!

   We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and put that on reservation. There was no acknowledgement of that which was disappointing as in the past we had been made to feel special. Perhaps because it was late lunch but the steakhouse we went to last year was very accommodating. Our server was very good and food arrived promptly. My husband’s NY strip and frites were good. My salmon and shrimp dish was ok…salmon delicious but shrimp not. The server forgot to ask if we wanted side and I forgot they are separate. Ok though as I was full. I mentioned our anniversary and she did bring complimentary dessert, cheesecake, but it wasn’t good I feel the food is overpriced.

   It was a bit nosier because we sat near the bar. Great atmosphere…I was not happy with my filet mignon and they took it back twice but they got it right in the end and brought a new side (no charge) so it was all hot upon arrival. Great customer service!

   The salmon & spicy shrimp was the best salmon dish I've ever had. My husband's steak was cooked perfect and delicious. The chopped ruth chris salad was fabulous, the lyonnaise potatoes and grilled asparagus were excellent. This was our 37th anniversary celebration and they served us a small cheese cake with a strawberry and chocolate drizzle that was simply delicious! Our waitress Ayresa was friendly, energetic, and very attentive. It was a wonderful evening. We highly recommend Ruth Chris Steak House North Raleigh
