   If you have allergies - this is not the place to go. If you want to leave without feeling like you spend a ton of money for nothing to eat, then I'd recommend it. Nice people but not the best food.

   I didn't know until I got there that this is located in the old White House bar, which was favorite of mine in the early 90's. The instant nostalgic hit was my first impression. I love how Sage has kept the beauty and character of the place while giving it a lovely update with chandeliers, plants, and paintings by local artists. I ordered the Lavender #2 cocktail to begin and it was so delicious and presented so prettily that I had to order a second. My dinner was the Winter Salad with Salmon and it was also not only delicious but pretty as well. I am gluten free and the menu was full of great options for me. It was a very slow night, mid week, so I had the opportunity to enjoy chatting with both the owner and the server, who were absolutely lovely. I will definitely return and highly recommend a visit.

   First time there. Super cool setting. Great ambiance. Love the size. Cozy. Very attentive service. Cocktails were delicious. Petite wine menu. 1 bubbly, 2 reds, 2 whites, one rose. I like that. We had the nuts and olives and the bread as an app. The sprinkle of green onion on the olives was a nice touch. The cauliflower soup was a bit one note. Needed a little touch of pepper and a crunch element. Was disappointed there. The chicken parm was dry, sauce good, but needed to be served on a bed of pasta. The fettucine was a miss. Noodles were overcooked and the mushroom sauce bland. Meatball was dry. I like it is a "simple" menu. Though with a smaller menu, you have got to execute to near perfection. And, with other places nearby with a similar approach, that raises the bar even more. I'd go back when the seasonal menu changes, but not a must go again now.

   Sage was entirely understaffed. From the moment we arrived for our 7 pm reservation, the staff was “in the weeds.” No host/hostess to greet us upon arrival. Was finally directed over to the bar to wait for our table. We ordered a round of drinks and two of the three were completely undrinkable. The Lavender was just weird and medicinal tasting and was left untouched on the bar (unnoticed by bartender and charged in full to our bill) The Mahogany also was unbalanced and heavy handed on the bitters and cinnamon flavor. While the drinks sounded interesting, the execution was poor. We were given complimentary bubbly for the wait which was appreciated. Seated 25 minutes after our reservation at approximately 7:25. Finally at 8 pm a server made her way to our table. We put our complete order in and asked for the appetizer first which was a lot to ask given how chaotic the night was. Ordered another drink (Pomegranate Martini) which tasted nothing like a Pom Martini but at least was drinkable. Food finally arrived at 9:03 pm in this order: entrees, salad, appetizer. :(. Food was flavorful but lukewarm throughout all entrees. We gobbled it up because we were starving at this point. When we peeked in kitchen at one point, there appeared to be only one chef/cook. We saw no other staff. The staff was friendly and were working their butts off, so it is a shame that they had a lack of staff and that it negatively impacted the patrons. We’ve wanted to try Sage and we’re disappointed this was our experience.

   Looking forward to eating here again! Food and cocktails were fantastic. Added surprise bonus visiting the art gallery upstairs while our apps were being prepared.

   Our thanks to Allison, Michelle & Brandon for a FABULOUS evening! We were welcomed as if we were neighbors with smiles and hugs! The ambience is comfortably classy - the bar is BEAUTIFUL! Every cocktail Michelle for our group was perfectly crafted and delicious, beautiful and some even sparkly! Our group of 7 thoroughly enjoyed steak tartar (MMMM) stuffed dates, chicken liver mousse and autumn salad followed by the tenderloin (perfectly seasoned and cooked, Allison's own recipe - pork schnitzel and cabbage was crispy and tender. We cannot say enough about the food! But, the ambience and service were above and beyond expectations! Thanks to all for a memorable experience!

   My girlfriend and I shared the charcuterie board, and both of us had the filet for dinner!! Outstanding and prepared perfectly!! Highly recommend Sage!! We will be back!!

    Not what we expected. Very limited menu (and different from what was online that day). Only two filet dishes left even though we were only diners in restaurant and came very early (before 6pm). Food was just OK and price was somewhat high. Service was pleasant but at time seemed indifferent.
