Salazar is the chef-driven restaurant from James Beard nominated Chef Jose Salazar. This little eatery is cemented in Cincinnati's Over The Rhine neighborhood just steps away from Historic Music Hall. The menu changes with the seasons as Chef Salazar is constantly creating new fun and creative dishes. Whether enjoying the patio or cozying up at the bar, this is an ideal place to stop in for a quick drink or to celebrate a special occasion. Salazar's menu changes frequently, but there are some dishes so popular that they keep popping up again and again. Some of the starters that have appeared on the menu include duck leg rillette, heirloom corn polenta and chicken liver mousse. As for main dishes, some of the signature plates have been the Ora King salmon with "everything" crust, cream cheese dumplings, pickled Fresno chili, caperberries and dill sauce as well as the burger with aged cheddar, bacon and heirloom tomato.

Salazar has been a sensational staple on OTR especially for locals and though as silk miss them in this form, in this location, we will look forward to the next chapter and visiting the next corner that it graces. All our sincere thanks and best wishes for this past decade of deliciousness!!!

Our last brunch at Salazar was fantastic! Smoked salmon sandwich, goetta Benedict (chili crisp addition…wow), chilaquiles and of course fried oyster sliders! The Spill the Tea was a great cocktail for brunch. Cheers to Chef Salazar for letting us enjoy this exquisite place for the past ten years. Too many memories and great meals to count. Here’s to the next adventure!

Delicious meal, so much better than a meal we had the prior weekend at Carlo & Johnnys. Bravo and will miss Salazar while they revamp!

This restaurant is a neighborhood gem. The osso buco was outstanding. Also enjoyed the smash burger and the chicken schnitzel. Can’t wait to see what the expanded Salazar will offer.
