   the location is great; however, parking could be an issue. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Food selection was limited and for the price was not good at all. We were sick as soon as we got home. The salmon was not cooked all the way thru and the steak had no flavor and was also raw in the middle even asking for medium. No way to send it back because the outside looked charred (much like the name of the restaurant), so we didn't want a hockey puck back. 20$ for French fries is a little much. Plating was the piece of meat and some green salad everything else is a al a cart (which is fine) but wish plating was more presentable for the pricing. Wine selection was good they had a whole book to select from.

   The food is always delicious here and I enjoyed it very much. I was surprised and disappointed, though, that they were out of a scotch (Glenrothes) which they list in their spirits menu on a Friday night.

   We had a wonderful dinner, Gabby was very attentive, took the time to answer our question and did not rush us at all. Food was amazing!

   Food was very good, however very expensive for the quality of meat served. Would definitely come back but overpriced.

   We had a great experience at salt and char. We started with the seafood tower which was great Then two salads, wedge and ceasar both delicious We had the Ny strip and the delmonico with three sides Cream spinach, crispy Brussels sprouts and the potato dauphinoise Every single bite was exquisite. Would highly recommend for an elevated steakhouse experience.

   The ambiance here is fantastic I absolutely love the vibe. The service was outstanding, with our server, Robert, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. He was attentive, made excellent recommendations, and truly elevated our visit. The drinks were top notch, I had the Maple Sour, a perfect seasonal choice that I highly recommend. While I was a bit surprised to see a service dog eating off the table, it didn't take away from the overall experience. This is definitely a place we'll be returning to!

   The food and cocktails were fabulous, but the ambiance was awful. I had planned for a romantic Valentines Day dinner, even requesting a table for two in front of their fireplace, but the lighting was extremely bright, so it was more like dining in a hospital cafeteria. Apparently, the restaurant underwent renovations in January, and the contractor messed up the recessed lighting to the point that it was not dimmable. Why they hadn't fixed the problem already isn't clear, but it is inexcusable. It was obvious that I was not the first to complain about the situation. It ruined what would otherwise have been a wonderful evening.

    My husband and I just purchased the Adelphi hotel residency. We go to Salt & Char quite often. We love,love, love this restaurant. Service, atmosphere to the waitstaff from the minute you walk into the restaurant. Especially Tyler the chef is a very talented and amazing down to earth human. Once of his creation butternut squash soup is to die for and I am hoping that soup will make it to the menu in the very near future.
