The service between ordering drinks and ordering the food was slow but the meal was excellent. We did not feel rushed between the appetizer and the meal. We would definitely try it again.

To the Management You’re doing a disservice to your wait staff. Poor planning and little Floor supervision caused us to have a VERY disappointing dining experience on Christmas Eve. 1/2 hour wait for our first drink and had to go to the bar for a second.BUT, that was a mistake. Only one bartender and he had an attitude. Over time nWe have witnessed the decline in the “ Living Room “ and Salt. But this is our last attempt in trying. You beat us down. To your wait staff, Merry Christmas!

The service was terrible for a place that takes reservations & should know how many employees they need for a night…especially Christmas Eve. The drinks took forever from the bar & our 4 soups were brought out without spoons & of course it took so long to get someone to bring them. We didn’t order coffee or more drinks because it would take forever again.

My husband and I have eaten at Salt Kitchen before and thought we’d bring our family on Christmas Eve. We made a 5:30 reservation as we had a 9 month old with us. Sadly, the service was very poor. It took forever for our waiter to appear at our table to even take a drink order! We didn’t get our dinners until 7:30!!! 2 hours after we sat down. Our daughter, son in law and baby had to get theirs packed to go!! Our waiter ignored us and offered no apologies!! It was not the way we planned to spend Christmas Eve with our visiting family!

We attended breakfast with Santa and had such a nice time. Breakfast was yummy. The lattes delicious. The environment was perfect for a santa experience with our baby! We definitely will be making this a tradition.

This dinner was a disaster. we arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and couldn't leave until 3 hours and 20 minutes later because the restaurant was overfilled, understaffed and under-resourced with food (they were out of a lot of items). We went out with friends for an early holiday celebration. We picked midweek to not run into big weekend celebrations. When we arrived, there was a line of about 10 cars to valet park our car. This never happens, except when there is a wedding. Valet staff was understaffed. When we walked into the place, the central hall was wall to wall and shoulder to shoulder with about 350 people participating in an evening indoor flea market. After seating and ordering drinks, it took 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. You can imagine how busy the bar was with the flea market people and diners competing for service by an understaffed bar. Things went downhill from there. The wait staff and kitchen staff were marvelous under the circumstances they were forced to work under. I won't go into all the failures, but they were numerous. The blame clearly belongs on management, both hotel and restaurant. Restaurants which are going to host overwhelming events on a particular night should inform folks making dinner reservations of the event so patrons are aware of what they are going to experience when dining. The quality of food sucked because the attention paid to cooking and serving sucked (not blaming the service people). I can't say enough bad things about Hotel LBI based on this miserable experience. Don't stay there. Don't dine there. Avoid the place at all costs.
