This was my first visit to Salt Grass Steakhouse, thanks to a thoughtful gift card. The food and drinks were excellent, but my overall experience had its ups and downs. I requested a booth due to medical reasons, but I overheard the hostess mention that our reserved booth was mistakenly given away. Unfortunately, they didn’t seem inclined to address the error or make accommodations. Instead, they seated our group of four in a busy spot in the center aisle, right next to the server ordering station. This location was less than ideal, as servers repeatedly brushed against my elderly mom, who is recovering from back surgery. The service was slow, adding to the challenges we faced. To top it off, there was a minor issue with my gift card at the end of the meal, though the staff assured me it was resolved. Despite the oddities, the food was genuinely great.

We hadn’t been in years. Our servers was bubbly and kind but actually came over to our table so often we couldn’t finish a conversation. We felt pressured and rushed to order quickly and leave. There is such a thing as ‘hovering’ and over servicing the customer. Perhaps, reading the room would have been helpful. We barely got our salads and had taken a few bites and our entrees were out and my mashed potatoes were cold. They did bring more! We saw a manager approach and bring out food to two tables beside us. It seemed this was common and something was off. Hadn’t been here in a long while and likely won’t be back for a LONG while again.

The food was great, our server Jake recommended the Urban Cowboy and it was delicious! The whole staff was very helpful and welcoming! The manager Justin brought me a slice of cheese cake for my birthday and it was amazing!

It was my hubbys birthday. No special flair added. The steaks were terrible. We just ate there two months ago so perhaps it was a one off but my daughter ordered a 6 ounce ribeye. It looked like a shriveled piece of leather. The manager offered to bring her a new one then suggested a 9 ounce. The server charged us for it. We won’t be back. No one cared. We’ve always loved salt grass but this left a bad taste in my mouth. I didn’t even finish my ribeye as leftovers. It too was thin and not very tasty. Sincerely. Lynette

My first meal at the Saltgrass and I loved it! Steak was so good and perfectly cooked! We had the early bird specials, a bit smaller and less expensive, but wonderful. Can’t wait to return! Our waiter Brendon was excellent and completely delightful—he made dinner much more fun!
