   Always amazing food. Never disappoints. The pesto pasta is always a favorite but the best is the octopus salad.

   Been there on a Friday or Saturday night and it’s a madhouse. Sunday night was perfect. Good food, great service and terrific ambience.

   We had such a wonderful time that we forgot to take photos while celebrating our two friends 70th birthdays. I guess we’ll have to do this again🤣

   Thee BEST calamari I have ever had!! Delicious, crunchy, light breading, and the calamari themselves were tender not chewy. Great flavors.

   Tired of just OK food and service?! In the heart of downtown Napa, you’ll find SCALA . . . offering phenomenal food with stellar service, great energetic ambience (without being too loud) and counter seating at the full bar with all their menu offerings . . . not to mention front row/box seats at the Chef‘s counter overlooking the kitchen/crew and pizza oven ~ and don’t forget the oyster bar too . . . We’ve been more times than we care to admit (lol). Some of our favorites include . . . the Veal “Scala-ppini” marsala and mushroom sauce ($36) that will leave you wondering what you’ve been eating at other restaurants . . . to the Pork Chop Milanese lemon, capers and butter sauce ($32) that’s pounded flatter than a pancake, super moist with a slight crunch ~ Note: make sure to ask for extra sauce (on the side) as you’ll want to swim in it . . . we could keep going with the menu items, although we’ll end with their over the top Lasagna (classic) layered with bolognese and bechamel sauces ($32) and whatever you do, do not share or ask anyone if they’d like to try it, as you’ll never see it again.

   We enjoyed every minute of our leisurely lunch here. Service was terrific, warm and informed. The food is superb-possibly the best clams ever, in a divine, fragrant, spicy broth served with two perfect pieces of toasted garlic bread. The chopped salad with cannellini beans, fennel, salami, provolone and more is perfect. And the gorgeous, high ceilinged dining room is just stunning. A new favorite for us in downtown Napa.

    Great food and excellent service especially from Pepe who served us with a ready smile. Makes you feel good. He recommended a couple of outstanding dishes - pizza with mushrooms and sausages, pasta vongole, kale salad, truffle special of the day. We liked the lively energy of the place, the ambiance and range of dishes offered on the menu. Highly recommended place to go to.
