Beautiful venue with a good ambiance. The food was really tasty and well presented. Staff were very helpful and pleasant but the service was well below par. We had to ask for the Amuse bouche to be served (all part of the Mothers Day menu) as this had been forgotten about (and was served together with our starters). We waited over 30 minutes between our starter and our main course. Whilst I appreciate that this was a busy service, it is not ideal or acceptable and spoils the whole flow of the experience. A bunch of wilting tulips was given to my Mum (but only after we saw others leaving with the flowers and had to ask for them). Overall this was not good value for money at £65 per head for 3 courses. The only difference between the Sunday roast (priced at £39.95 for 3 courses) were the Amuse bouche and I don't consider these to merit a £25 uplift. Sadly, I would not recommend this restaurant for a busy special occasion. We were left disappointed and it wasn't good value for money.

Food was great but service was really disappointing. Drinks arrived after starters and only after asking two members of staff where they were (I could see they were sat waiting on the bar but no one was bringing them). The first lady I asked completely fobbed me off and didn’t even attempt to find the drinks - quite shocking and embarrassing for the restaurant really considering we had waited 20 minutes. We should have sent the food back to the kitchen until the drinks had arrived. There were also issues with desserts - wrong desserts brought to the table and then missing desserts. The foot itself was great but I wouldn’t come back until the service issues are resolved.

Gorgeous restaurant and hotel however the English breakfast was not up to a standard id expect. Took a long time to arrive and a lot of the items were cold on the plate.

Amazing meal for my mother’s 70th - super accommodating. For a premium priced restaurant, I’d of liked a little more in the way of service, the girl who served us was spot on but she had little time to get round all the tables which didn’t give us much chance to order more drinks.

We booked the Time to Dine set menu. The food was excellent, the service was wonderful. We had a great afternoon lunch & was not rushed to vacate our table. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely evening. The scallops were delicious , the steak was v good as was the pork . The wine was delicious. Service was excellent only a little slow and the restaurant a little quiet The table setting was lovely and the tables further into the room had a better atmosphere. Overall 4/5. We will definitely come back again

Food was incredible and the wine was great, only issue was that they were out of both of our selected deserts so we had the stick toffee pudding which was good
